Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Listen if you dare :) Taken along the West Coast road. I think I may have cavorted with a little too much abandon at the Easter picnic resulting in a pinched nerve in my back, PAIN! One visit down to the physio and one to go, back to normal (?) soon. Happy Wednesday, take care..much more than I did :) and stay safe.....
What a great shot! Love the bird and the Beatles song!! So sorry about the pinched nerve!! Believe me, I know how that feels -- back in the good old days I did too much cavorting myself, resulting in those same kinds of aches and pains! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot!!! Perfect in B&W!!! Love the bit of light on the bird...
ReplyDeletelove the shot and the Beatles...hate it that you're in pain from Easter cavorting...sending you wishes of wellness so that you too can fly again!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot AND a great song!!!! One of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteAnd hope you get better. That pinch is not fun. Hope you're back up and running again soon:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and love that Beatles song, but oh no! Pinched nerves are no fun, take it reaaally easy and hope you are up and about in no time!!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a scene from Hitchcock's The Birds....
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon, Grace!
Oh dear. Rest and get well!

ReplyDeleteTake a rest, dear Gracie and get better soon!
They seem to sound a bit different than the ones here but always give me good memories of great journeys throughout your country.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Grace!
Feel better Grace. Love the monochrome nature of the shot.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic! I first looked at this a couple of hours ago and have been humming Blackbird since then, Grace.
ReplyDeleteMr LOL is off to the chiro tomorrow yet again. You take care and maybe some ice to ease that pain. Wonderful photo, Grace.
ReplyDeleteReminded me much of E.A. Poe.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration. Please have a good Wednesday.
Thanks for the visceral benediction! Landed on me like a butterfly joy :-)
ReplyDeleteAloha
Dramatic shot!
ReplyDeleteI've never listened to the Beatles version... just the Sarah McLachlan cover.
I will have to listen to that song now. I have all Beatles album on my computer.
ReplyDeleteLove that song. Get well.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteYou know at a certain age you have to start being careful about your back and bones :-P Hope it is ok now.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is one of your very vest. Strong graphics. Haven't thought of that song for some time, though. The lyrics sound pretty weak this many years later but I think of that wonderful guitar line. I wonder who actually played it? McCartney was mostly a bass man.
ReplyDeleteOuch!!! Know the feeling. Hope it's OK soon. Super shot.
ReplyDeleteBlackbirds are so prolific and seem to be everywhere.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic Grace.......ooooh poor girl, bad back = no fun.
ReplyDeleteGet well quick!
