Trays of handmade chocolates by chocolatier Sue Lewis were served (above right), way too much temptation for a 'chocoholic' like moi! I'm definitely making a trip to Sue's shop in Northbridge very soon. Just a few of the paintings below, the top two and bottom right (Medusa inspired) by Jessica and bottom left my favourite of the photographs by Kim entitled 'The exploitation of Norma Jeane', an exotic orchid I think, representing the iconic Marilyn Monroe image, very clever title oui! Well it's almost Sunday here in Perth, picnic in Kings Park today..I wish you a happy day, take care and stay safe.....

Yes, a fantastic opening night for her 4th exhibition and thanks for these fab photos. Even the Mayor attended and was suitably impressed. 'Anthropoflora' @ Smart Space will be open for viewings between 10 - 4pm weekends and 10 - 2pm on weekdays with either Jess or Kim in attendence. So have a look yourself - find the familiar in flowers.
ReplyDeleteSue C ( a very proud mum!)

Thanks Grace for the coverage of our exhibition, glad you enjoyed the night. And would you believe it, the Norma Jeane photo is actually just an Iris, a white and yellow one! Kim.

I'm intrigued by the spheres. Each looks like its own little ecosystem.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Looks like a fun time at the gallery. I haven't been to one of those in years. I really like the spheres. Very cool. You be safe as well:)
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Looks like there was a good turn out too.
ReplyDeleteTableaux d'excellente qualité, et, sans nul doute, un agréable moment, un verre à la main.
ReplyDeleteBon dimanche, Gracie!
Fabulous work! And i like how things are displayed. How fabulous to live near people with such talent!
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing artwork Grace. Congratulations. I love the image of the flower in the bottom right hand corner. I've just returned from a break in Byron Bay which was full of welcome sunshine. It provided some wonderful photographic opportunities. It's great to catch up on your blog.

ReplyDeleteShe is incredibly talented - it runs in the family! I loved the piece you'd purchased from before, and these current ones are beautiful. I think my senses would've been overwhelmed - all that visual beautiful + design sense + chocolate...sigh...
