Heading out of the harbour past the sea wall to do a spot of fishing before the next squall hits Perth, it's been that kind of week, that's spring for you. Why do we seem to be drawn to the things that scare us the most! The sea terrifies me, yet I'm drawn to it like a magnet, it's the colour I think, blue is so, help me out here, so..what, refreshing maybe! Happy Thursday, take care.....

Bon voyage ;)
ReplyDeleteThe ocean's waters don't scare me, but I do have a very healthy respect for what they can do. And I would not want to spend my life away from the water's edge. Great harbour shot's Grace - you can't go wrong wih boat pics! :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue colors, great shots.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent images, the intense blue is really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI also love the texture o the water!
Hugs

I'm like Paul, the ocean waters don't scare me, but I, too, have a very healthy respect for their power. Having grown up in the middle of west Texas where the only water you saw was from the faucet, I'm mesmerized by the vastness of the ocean and never, ever get enough!! Gorgeous captures, wonderful blue skies and water!! Hope you're getting ready for a great weekend, Grace!!
ReplyDeleteI want to go on this trip!!! Take me with:) That water looks gorgeous:)
ReplyDeleteWater is part of our DNA and is so primal. Your photos underscore our love for the sea.
ReplyDeleteLes bleus sont magnifique. Bon voyage :):):)
ReplyDeleteLove these shots Grace. How lucky you are to enjoy such crisp blue skies during the Australian winter! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteYes, refreshing works. Blue is the color of water and air (the sky), two of life's necessities. Plus, blueberries, one of life's treats. Can't complain about blue, Grace.
ReplyDeleteYes, I feel the same, I only go on a sea in a huge engineboat. No sailing for me, I am scared of water from my fourth year on. Really don't know why. Maybe I was drowned in a previous life long ago...
ReplyDeleteIt's very relaxing...Arianna
ReplyDeleteThe ocean can look malevolent when you are peering over the edge of boat into the seemingly endless depth of water.
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean! Nothing like that vibrant sea blue. Hppy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWonderful colours ! A safe journey ahead and always two hands of water beneath the keel.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Friday.
Yes! Grace I love the sea to look at but definitely like my feet on stable land ... Beautiful blue on Blue
ReplyDeleteit is certainly an intense blue. and intensity is attractive.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful. I can almost smell the sea. I am a bit of a fair weather sailor though.
ReplyDeleteCalming....blue that is. I've always thought of it as calming. I have a healthy respect for the sea myself yet I love looking at it and walking on a beach and letting the waves wash over my feet. But if the water gets to my knees, I'm outta there.
ReplyDeleteLooks idyllic, I love the ocean but its been quite a while since I've been on it, even in a ferry. Crazy weather - 31 degrees in Sydney right now.
ReplyDeletemeant to add - for me the ocean is where I find peace, maybe not always on it but certainly beside it.
ReplyDeleteI think the blue is primal, the color our brains would be at complete rest. We yearn for it.
ReplyDeleteThe color of the water is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think you have the bluest Daily Photo site.
ReplyDeleteThe blue is a reminder of the warmth of sun filled skies, the laughter of children on the beach, the effervesence of salt spray on your face and the promise of holidays to come.
ReplyDeleteSo much blue! Good thing it's my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteoh blue or bleu .. either works for moi ... and its my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteBlue seems to be the most favourite colour of people.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I'm more on the grey on grey on grey version. :-)
ReplyDeleteI was stunned at how much the first two photos in particular reminded me of Townsvilles Marina and breakwater. Perhaps your ocean is bluer though! It so reminded me of the days when I'd go out to the reef on my Uncles boat. I love the ocean but have an unfounded fear of it. (something to do with not being able to swim very well :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Grace.
Oh gorgeous gorgeous blues - a lovely sight for travel-weary eyes!! I'm also drawn to the ocean while finding it scary at the same time. As kids, we were inundated by basic water safety and marine biology lessons - I suppose it gave us all a healthy respect for the ocean...seems you'd find that in Australia too :)
ReplyDeletegoood photos, i like the boat and the sea
ReplyDeleteYou've got the blues all right!
ReplyDeleteDe nuevo por tu casa, disfrutando de las cosillas que nos dejas. Siempre encantado.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Too bad this wasn't in Blue Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me much of a place in Destin, Florida. I agree. The sea is can be a dangerous monster yet I love it. But I won't go out further than 70 miles!
ReplyDeleteThat boat has an awful lot of stuff on top. Looks like it maintain communications for the whole world plus the international space station. Safe enough for me.
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful shots.
ReplyDeleteScary is fun sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not just jealous of the lovely blue water... I would love to be on that boat. These photos are calling me.
