If yesterday's event on the blog was irrelevant while it was still happening then the images taken exactly a week ago on today's post are totally immaterial.. it's just as well that I'm irresponsibly irrepressible and will post them irrespective of that fact as they are irrefutably irreproachable.. that was fun :) Clicks by Bill from South Perth at the Australia Day Skyworks display. I picked the four shots here as they remind me of the fronds of palm trees swaying wildly in the wind.. do you see it :) Happy weekend, take care and stay safe...
Dazzling shots by Bill! Yes, I can see the palm tree influence.

ReplyDeleteBravo, Bill! These are spectacular. I don't think I could ever get jaded about fireworks
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing photos, stunningly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWell done Bill fabulous photos and thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteThese photos are fantastical! Superfragelistic expealidocious. (Not sure of the spelling.) Suffice it to say that I'm utterly awed by these photos. You really do need to do a retrospective, a gallery showing, a museum fantasy. You are an artiste!
ReplyDeleteInspirational, iridescent images Grace. Post them whenever you like. Boom. Their terrific.
ReplyDeleteGreat palm trees! Almost as lovely as the real thing!
ReplyDeleteHi Grace. Re your comment about Ken Rockwell. He can be controversial but he knows cameras and photography and his website is chock full of fascinating stuff about cameras and how to shoot and what you really need. He's worked in Hollywood previously and has a worldwide reputation. If I'm looking for a new camera, he's my "go-to guy" for information about cameras. I'm curious as to what about him you found "controversial."
ReplyDeleteFireworks are always fun to see, and a challenge to photograph.
ReplyDeletePalm trees in the sky are very impressive especially in all those colours.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love fireworks! These are great and yes, they do look like palm trees in the breeze.
ReplyDeletewhaouou fantastic shots
ReplyDeleteLOL, Grace, you sure made me use a dictionary with this post - you are impossible! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots indeed, looks like swinging palms - happy weekend to you!
Amazing fire works.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics.
Happy Weekend.
Brilliantly shimmering shots by Bill. Have a great weekend, Grace. Greetings Jo
ReplyDeleteHi Grace. I haven't Googled Ken for a few years. I'm amazed at the level of hatred out there. The Internet seems to draw all the crazies and create a venue for expressing all the stuff that's rattling around in goofy brains. Ken has always had a share of critics but I've dismissed them because the criticisms were based, it seemed to me, mainly on jealousy. Ken is a bottomless well of knowledge and while he may make a mistake at times, he corrects those as soon as they're pointed out. Also, everyone seems to have their favorite cameras, point of views, blah, blah, blah, and if they disagree with Ken they take to the Internet to spew their hatred. If you read through his website, you may disagree with some things he says - especially about photographic technique - but he can fill in a lot of blanks about the equipment that's out there and how to take good photos. He's also, as I recall, more of a Nikon fan than a Canon fan, and that can start a war. It's crazy, but he's been very helpful to me down through the years. I'm just not into technique so much anymore and I'm not going to be buying a new camera for awhile, so I've not been on his website recently. I hope you get a chance to read through his many articles about cameras and technique and don't let the haters get you down! :)
ReplyDeletewow,pictures are amazing! ew
