There we were, standing atop the lighthouse at
Hillary's Boat Harbour, two strangers capturing the same view. I wondered as I surreptitiously included him in some of my shots, if he had done the same with me! A bit of a storm brewing last evening made for a biblical sunset but not much rain unfortunately, if anyone has any spare send it this way s'il vous plait! Happy Wednesday, hope it's good one, take care.....p.s. the country is nice and all, but the sea is fabulous!

ReplyDeleteWonderful skies. My parents lived in small town Oklahoma and went out to California in the mid 1930's to find work. I was born in Long Beach in 1941 and mother often took me to Seal Beach to dabble in the water.
ReplyDeleteWe moved back to Oklahoma in 1946 but I still remember the beach. Oklahoma is totally landlocked but I still feel drawn to the ocean.
When I manage to return to the sea, Atlantic, Pacific, or the Gulf of Mexico, I take off my shoes, roll up my trousers, and walk into the water. I love the feeling of sea water rushing over my feet and then rushing back, sucking sand from beneath my bare feet.
I really like the composition in that top shot Grace. The curve of the fence and the clouds seem to mirror each other and lead the eye to the photographer. Great shot.
