Firstly I'd like to say that it's not often you put a request out there and it gets answered so promptly, whoever it was that forwarded the rain, a huge thank you! Seriously it's been raining on and off since I took these shots on Tuesday evening, every drop much appreciated! The lighthouse at the marina is a wonderful spot to watch the boats coming and going out to sea, the rocks along the groyne are popular with fishermen casting out their lines in anticipation of catching a snapper or herring, hopefully not
a greedy blowfish very bizarre creatures indeed! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.....p.s. I can't be certain there are fifty steps to the top, but who's going to call me on it haha!
Such a lovely place and your skies are AWESOME!! What a glorious way to begin the day -- any day!!! Terrific captures and I love your composition for the first one!! Great view through the stairway!!
ReplyDeleteBonjour Grace. Your splendid shots caught my eye. Hard to believe here in Seattle, but sometimes, I guess even rain is good news... Bonne journée. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteThose skies look like lava or fire! How gorgeous!
ReplyDeletesuperbe ciel avec une tres belle couleur
ReplyDeleteGasp, the light and color in your skies! I love scenes like this, so warming and happy - thanks for that little midday visit to paradise, sigh:)
ReplyDeleteI ran out of breath at 25! Love the pictures
ReplyDeleteLove your bottom shot, Grace!
ReplyDeletenice photos... ciao Grace...
ReplyDeleteThose are two very nice photographs! I counted the steps. There are 51. Shades. Of White. I'm not going to ask about the book with a similar title. I hear it's very good though, and has saved a number of marriages. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome images! Thank you Grace.
ReplyDeleteBonza photos, especially the second one.
ReplyDeleteLol, I wish I could count the steps, what a beautiful sky and yes, indeed, a very strange fish. It looks like a sea-hedgehog with oversized eyes!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go all those steps, to scary for me, I can see the sunset from the ground as well, don't I. That is a strange fish you showed us, do you realy have them on the shore?
ReplyDeleteNice scene. If Perth is like here at all, it is heartening to, at times, see a young person fishing. I haven't done it, yet, but at some point every blog writer must have a pun on Fifty Shades of......
ReplyDeleteNice looking lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteI didn't ask for more snow, but we still got half a meter today!
Looks more like 47 steps from here, but the pictures are pretty!
ReplyDeleteJaw Dropping!

Yes, a joy for the sense of sight.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Thursday.
Beautiful color and light with charming commentary: )
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots!!! May have to invite you up here next year to do a workshop. BTW I deleted all of my Picasa pics & (cross fingers) am able to put pics on my blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe top picture, in particular, is a beautiful composition. You raise an important photographic point. A camera can show - what is it? - 255 steps between pure white and black. However, in overall light intensity, a camera can distinguish about 8 stops and the human eye can manage 20. The technology hasn't caught up with biology.
ReplyDeleteGreat skys....
ReplyDeletePierre
Wonderful second picture Grace.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
How can anyone be thankful for rain?
ReplyDeleteLovely pics again Grace.
