Virginia at Paris Through My Lens you were spot on, it was a flash mob. Such fun and for a wonderful cause. I've chosen
this link to show you because it explains what it was all about while at the same time giving you a chance to see a little more of Perth and meet Lisa Scaffidi, Perth's first female Mayor and a jolly good sport! Probably the biggest flash mob we've had to date in Perth, the mix from very young to 'of a certain age' was brilliant. I thought it was going to be really easy to spot Aimee with her flame coloured hair.. until half the mob came out wearing red caps pffft! If you're any good at playing 'Where's Wally' I'll give you a few clues, black cap, orange hair, red dress white collar, last shot the easiest (top right)! It was a real buzz to watch, maybe next time I'll join in with her, I was quite the dancer in my 'youth' haha! TGIF even if it does mean that Christmas is only days away, happy Friday, take care and stay safe..p.s. the squares you see here are the grid for the new
Water Labyrinth unveiled a few weeks ago.....
I couldn't spot the mayor. I will have to look again!
ReplyDeleteune foule impressionnante....

ReplyDeleteGreetings, Joop
Very cool! I found her in the last shot!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteYup, I think I've seen her! Now why weren't you dancing???
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic! What great shots you have from a perfect vantage point.
ReplyDeleteCool! Great sequence, Grace.
ReplyDeleteShe could at least have waved to you!
ReplyDeleteI have never experienced a flash mob. I saw a video of one in a Jerusalem mall and it was very emotional and powerful. Looks like a lot of fun, too. I think you should definitely join in next time. Then have a friend take pics and we'll all try to spot you. (P.S. Wear a white jacket and a bright red cap with a feather in it).
ReplyDeleteHEY! I called it too!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a flash mob before. Very cool you caught this one. They are so much fun:)
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! And, for such a good cause. This is just great. Loved the video.
ReplyDeleteYes ! I finally found Aimee ... what a buzz!
ReplyDeleteI found Aimee!!! What do I win?
ReplyDeleteThese things are fun. I want to be in a flash mob sometime.
I couldn't figure out how to see it! I'll keep trying because I love flash mobs.
ReplyDeleteThere is quite a good recording of it uploaded to You Tube. http://youtu.be/YruMW_411xY

Great stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's one big mob.
ReplyDeleteNot a chance I'd spot her. My eyes are too old and it's getting too late our time for my brain to function properly. Still, it looks rather exciting.
ReplyDeleteI do like the all dancing all singing flash mob concept. It brings such joy and surprise. I don't know of any flash mobs in Melbourne but would love to see one.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been fun to watch. I'm going to you tube to watch it. Thanks to Andrew.
ReplyDeleteLife cannot be "lived" properly in a private enterprise shopping centre - so with all the wonderful spaces and spots and places around Perth you've been sharing, the flash mob was a great idea. I'm always a sucker for a flash mob, but what a great cause.
ReplyDeleteI like those flash mobs very much, at you tube you can see a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteI so miss Perth.
ReplyDeleteAnd I so hate cancer.
A great flash mob. And... didn´t know you have a female mayor. Well, she dances as good as I would ;-)
Wow, what splendid pictures of a real fun day out!
