While sitting in a cafe on Rockeby Road in Subiaco, this guy passed by several times, I'm not sure but I think he saw my camera on the table and figured if he went past enough times I would eventually be driven to take his picture and as evidenced above..he was right, heck at one point he even waved as he whizzed by, I missed that!! When I got home I Googled 'scooter billboard advertising' and discovered that there are a few companies in Perth that do it, Media V were the group who handled this one. It got me thinking, not a bad way to earn a dollar in summer, check out his typically casual Aussie clobber, thongs (just to be clear, flip flops !!) and all. Here he is below coming in for another drive by, I wonder if they'd take on a 'woman of a certain age with dubious driving skills' haha! Happy Friday, I'm really serious now, where did this week go.....!

I would love to see you driving by! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteBellissimo...non avevo mai visto fare pubblicità cosi!! buona serata....ciao
ReplyDeleteIn french, Thongs are .. tongs! :o)or claquettes, but not so much used. I see a french shop behind! (l'Occitane en Provence) How great. About the guy: When you wrote "I could do this", I thought about the resolution written on the sign! :o))
ReplyDeletePublicite dans la ville, tu as trouve un sponsor ;o))
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that here, Grace! Advertising is everywhere.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a new form of advertising for me! What great shots! You do find fun things and I'm so glad you share them with us! And, yes! Where does the time go indeed!!!

Fabulous photo and post Grace. Let me know if they need a second 'woman of a certain age with dubious driving skills' and I'll join you ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa, very different from how we do it.

An easy way to earn some money indeed. Go ahead!
ReplyDeleteA very fun post, Grace. I'm glad you finally grabbed your camera and got off a couple of shots. I think I could probably handle that job, too. We've had trucks with some kind of electronic thingy on the back which changed advertisements every few minutes. Haven't seen them in a long time, though. Perhaps they were too much of a distraction and caused a few accidents.
ReplyDeleteWell, Grace, of course he wanted to get on the world famous PERTH Daily photo blog!

ReplyDeleteBit late to be making New Year resolutions !
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful where alike is possible. Please have a good Friday ahead.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be a fun job! I could do that too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say that the bubbles I drink don't come in clear bottles like those! As soon as I saw Rokeby Rd I knew it was in Subiaco...I used to walk there almost every day when I lived in Subi'. And I agree...where did the week go to?
ReplyDeleteperhaps he was flirting? interesting way to advertize...one I've not seen here!
ReplyDeleteWrong kind of bubbly for starters. However, if my wife and I order water in a restaurant we prefer it avec gaz.
ReplyDeleteWe get this sort of thing at public events on the backs of small flatbed trucks (or lorries, if you prefer). They usually advertise bars and nightclubs.
Some municipalities here have banned mobile billboard advertising on their roads. I agree, there is quite enough traffic.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a stress free job. Well unless a big truck was behind you.
ReplyDeleteInteresting sign.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have never seen a moped with a trailer!
ReplyDeleteThat's good...that kind of bubbly is good for you, but not as much fun as the other...
ReplyDeleteI like a lot the street moment in your first composition, very well captured!I would like to drink more water, I confess that I'm always forget to drink water! oh girl... ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Léia
That is what I call ,- a clear message!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a commission for this post.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you could but it would be pretty boring!
ReplyDeletei can see you now put-putting along in your own casual clobber ;)
