As mentioned many times before one of my favourite places to peruse books is Elizabeth's Bookshop. I could spend hours in there, unfortunately I don't often have hours to do so. Knowing that it's going to be a cold and rainy few days I did stop in there this week and picked up two books for the weekend. Looking forward to snuggling up with Queen and it'll be the first book I've read by John Lawton, written in 2020, think he is a popular writer/television documentary producer in UK and USA, has anyone read any of his books? What are you reading this weekend? Happy Friday, see you on Monday, take care and stay safe..
I would enjoy being in there.
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteReading a book is always a great way to snuggle up!
Finally today I will manage some reading time here at our cabin on the lake... A great get-away and supporting our almost blind and deaf friend with his Mom.
Hugs,
Mariette
What a great place to browse for books. It would have to be my last stop of the day because I wouldn't know when to leave. :)
ReplyDelete...Queen Unseen, neat title!
ReplyDeleteReading two books. The latest William Gibson, and also a James Patterson novel.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great read! I'm very slowly making my way through "Up & Down California in 1860-1864" by William Brewer. It's a little dry, but still interesting to read about the state just as Europeans were starting to populate it.
ReplyDeleteBookstores! My nursery before the wwweb. Ima try and visit more blog pals this weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy kind of bookstore!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the Bob Dylan Chronicles. And relaxing I hope.
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved visiting Elizabeth's in Freo.
ReplyDeleteA bookstore would be nice about now.
ReplyDeleteI love bookshops too. But I'm not a fast reader. Just read in bed before nodding off.I'm reading a"Captain Thunderbolt" at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI love snall Mom and Pop book store, we have good one where I live.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
So many book, so little time. Wonder what is in all these books? Get reading.
ReplyDeleteThe first one I´ve read, Grace. Now. Don´t judge me... kindle. It was interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen book you recommended is on the way as a real book 😁.
Hm. To simply walk into a (book) store, oh, when can we do this again?
10C, cloudy. Argh.
Lucky that you can to the bookshop again. What a luxe.
ReplyDeleteLooks great
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a good book and a wonderful bookstore!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking bookstore! I'm reading a book called "The Wine Club". I bought it because it takes place in Scottsdale and I thought it would be interesting to read something that takes place close to home. I didn't know when I bought it that it would turn out to be quite the page-turner!
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy the Queen one for sure, don't know the other writer.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly making my way through "Low tox life" - a handbook for a healthy you and a happy planet. There might be a few things I can put into practice...
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for the lovely lunch and chat :)
It's the time for books now, rainy winter days. I've just finished one called Cannibal jack and am about to start another on the life of Charles Dickens.
ReplyDeleteI good almost smell that wonderful bookstore smell! I am not reading anything. Guilty of watching too many series on Netflix. I would probably benefit from walking to a bookstore.
ReplyDeleteRemarkable, Absolutely pent written content, Really enjoyed reading through.

I love bookstores and don’t miss any that happen along! Especially in small towns, they’re usually the best!
