Kaya wanjoo wanjoo..

Kaya wanjoo wanjoo, hello and welcome. I mentioned that it's been a while since we were in the city and last week I noticed a wonderful vibrant new mural work on the Perth City Visitor Kiosk. Painted in-between now and the last time we were there by Noongar artist Nerolie Bynder. The volunteers in the information kiosk do such a brilliant job it seems only right to have atop their hub the words Kaya Perth meaning 'Welcome to Perth'. Indigenous art is so much more than just art, it is a life story. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  1. Dearest Grace,
Even though the white top is a bit of a dissonant in the environment; quite harsh.
Hope you read my reply to your comment about us wearing sustainable sandals from supple leathers, flexible soles and springy footbeds, this ensures optimal walking comfort. Loints of Holland from 1918 is making you aware of your personal ecological footprints on the earth...

  6. Now Perth has gone from riches to a creative kiosk! Now the kiosk is intriguing even without the mural, and the mural is the cherry on top!

  9. Oh, Grace, how I wish I could be there! It´s very beautiful.
LOL, remember when I was there with Sami. She asked about a bronze girl with a flower. They had no idea, but I knew (when you go down direction Bell Tower - just ask the one who lives in "a small town in Germany" ).

  11. It's a beautiful one Grace. I took some photos of it at the beginning of the month when I had to go to the city for a meeting. I had no idea there was something on the top too, lol. I remember the last one with the rainbow one.
