Umbrella shots! In a State where 'the odds of above average rainfall are not as strong as the odds for below average rainfall' I have to take them where I find them :) Driving along the freeway P said 'there's an umbrella shot for you'. Traveling at 100km didn't give me much time to aim and click but I have to say I quite like the image, would be better without the windscreen wiper :) but my subject was surprisingly in focus, plus the street lights over and under the pedestrian bridge make for a more interesting composition. They made a contrasting pair struggling across under a veritable deluge, one brightly coloured the other all in black! Not too bad for a quick click :) happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
Hi Grace, hope you are keeping well.
ReplyDeleteJuly and August are proving very busy and sorry to say that my blog visits have been quite sporadic!
Love these photographs. Thought I may need my brolly today but it's not as colourful as the red and white one in your photo's.
My good wishes for August.
Take care
All the best Jan
I love these two shots, they have atmosphere! That rain is looking good to me. We've had some rain but mostly just high humidity which does wonders (not) for my hair.
ReplyDeleteThey are super shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteExcellent crop! He ought to take you out more I say!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Love the first especially. I thought it was a black and white photo in which you had coloured the umbrella until I looked more closely. You did well, PDP.
ReplyDeleteI do like the result!
ReplyDeleteWe've had far too much rain here over the spring and summer.
Well done Grace. The red and white umbrella really stands out. It looks even better with the wet windscreen.
ReplyDelete...be safe in the rain.
ReplyDeleteYes! The umbrella does stand out!

Good work Grace. The wiper looks as if it is going to wipe them off of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can see they are battling the elements.
ReplyDeleteGood shots, lots of motion in the second. But taking pictures while driving? I have to admit I've done it, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely :)
ReplyDeleteSuperb clicks. 1st one awesome.
ReplyDeleteWell done! The rain gives the shot even more realism. (I hope you were in the passenger seat.)
