I went into the city yesterday to have lunch with fellow Perth blogger Sami before she heads off on holiday. Winter showed up in all its glory, arriving in the city the temp was 10C on leaving it had reached it's top of 14C.. fantastic, j'adore! Umbrellas and plastic macs everywhere :) Check out the last shot, sad empty cafe tables but doesn't the paving in Forrest Place look stunning when wet! More rain tomorrow and the next day and the next day etc. I'm a happy little vegemite :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...
Not a single soul brave enough to sit under the big umbrellas. Nice work Grace.
ReplyDeleteThe colors from the East West Design post are flipping beautiful!! You snapped those photos from a perfect position and drew me in from a point - perspective stance. Thanx so much for sharing these delightful images on a daily basis. Well Done!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Ah, people, rain, and umbrellas what a wonderful combination! This picture of your city looks very much like our city of Minneapolis! At first glance I thought it was, but then I saw the Perth banners! Lovely captures.
ReplyDeleteA different face of Perth! <3
ReplyDelete10C, or even 14C, sounds like a good Spring day, (not mentioning the rain), in my neck of the woods. Stay dry.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I so wish I could´ve joined you two!! Or three, let´s not forget about the rain!
ReplyDeleteMind you, Grace, my rainboots still stand in the way in the hall waiting for being used.
And I bought a (cheapy-)rain-hat the other day, too...
It looks like a soft gentle rain, which I love. Aren't the different deigns, sizes and colours of umbrellas lovely sights?!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely rainy aspects!! It is so warm in these days of august, so looking at these images I can imagine the fresh & cold air, if I can say like this*-* Gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteA lovely day and week!
...did you see a rainbow?
ReplyDeleteLove the rainy city scenes! Before long the leaves will be unfurling again!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pics but I'm glad I'm not there! It is 27˚C and sunny & nice here, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a rainy day everywhere. Great photos indeed!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is the same person with the red and white umbrella who was walking across the bridge.
ReplyDeleteWet and disagreeable!
ReplyDeleteSunny and 15C here with NO rain. There must be a mix up. :)
ReplyDeleteThe wet really brings out the colors in that walkway. We have had very soggy summer here.
ReplyDeleteYou really make a rainy day look fantastic. Great shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWarm rain?
ReplyDeleteHave a shower, here' some soap!
Great photo's Grace although rain is not very nice to have but a great opportunity for photo's! The weather looks quite different there from you usual photos with sunshines. Here it is 21 C :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the post and rainy day pics. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove the wet photos, quite a contrast to the normally sunny Perth.
ReplyDeleteTruly enjoyed meeting up with you Grace.
Think we both have the same weather at present but I have no close city to walk around and see if there are any brollies :-) Just rain drops in the garden. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's Grace ... we had so much rain in my part of the UK yesterday, these 'brollies' would have come in handy!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
You've really caught that rainy day mood and the wet sheen of the pavement. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteI think these are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThey do look like French pictures. Rain makes a good photograph.Well done.
ReplyDeleteRainy days are perfect for good pics, you prove it, Grace !

ReplyDeleteGood!.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the top one which is edited light-sepia tone background and with a red and white umbrella.
Love the brellas and the beautiful reflections.
