Little did I realize that I was being watched as I took this and a few more shots. I mean, who can resist a refection that makes them look impossibly tall and thin.. so tall and thin that you will have to look really hard to see me :) I can't tell you where this is as shortly after I was tapped on the shoulder and told it was a no no! Bit of a shame really, it's the best building in town for reflections. That's the state of the world for you.. security rules! Happy weekend, take care and stay safe.. P.s. I'm getting out and about today even if it kills me :)

Glad you're feeling better Grace. It's sad they we have to be watched...
ReplyDeleteHi Grace, I can't see you at all. Sorry about being "apprehended" for taking photos. I have had this happen to me (and not in a friendly manner either) several times in my life. Glad you're feeling good enough to get out and about. Tomorrow I'm doing my first Parkrun after a three-week layoff. Greetings Jo
ReplyDelete...oh, isn't it fun breaking the rules.
ReplyDeleteccc, with all the spying technology (I can't even imagine what exists) they are flexing muscles on an inocent hobby photographer. whoever they are. shame on them. nice reflection. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow. Glad they didn't take your camera, PDP.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got at least one shot. I was told off the other day for taking photos at the entrance to the supermarket!! Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteI've only had that happen a few times. One time at a gov't building here I ended up with a Mountie escorting me through the building to show me all of the art in place not open to the public. A nice guy!
ReplyDeleteI've not had that happen to me before!
ReplyDeleteI thought the terrorists only won in the USA since we cannot enjoy the same freedoms post 2k1 as we did pre 2k1. Anyway that is an interesting reflection.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been unsettling....
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better, G
ReplyDeleteIt was the wires hanging out of your handbag that made them suspicious. What nonsense.
ReplyDeleteI guess he didn't realize who he was dealing with, such a rookie. :) Glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been an Embassy of some country with a lot of secrets!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'm getting a bit defiant when it comes to this banning of photography thing. After all, you can pretty much snap a cell phone photo anywhere anymore. I do love the reflection!
ReplyDeleteEverywhere we go there are camera's ...
ReplyDeleteThen there are those who say no photo's to be taken here!
Lovely shot, although I can't see you!
Hope you have a good weekend.
Take care
All the best Jan
Those security people tick me off. If you are still using the OM-D E-M something, you can easily hold it at your hip, point in the general direction of interest and keep pushing the button.
ReplyDeleteReally! I was told to get the manager's approval to take pix in a local supermarket once. I guess we should start enjoying it more by dressing and acting like spies. Wide brimmed hat and sunglasses, here I come!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post.
Happy Weekend.
this happened to me too :( ,in any case the picture is very nice!! EW
ReplyDeleteNot happened to me yet and if it did they would get a very long answer! Oh, and you do look a bit on the this side here.
ReplyDeleteOMG you can't photograph a building anymore?
ReplyDeleteI think we have all been guilty of snapping where we shouldn't.....but outside....that is a bit strict. Of course I guess they could have a good reason. Did you eat while you were sick? cause I can hardly see you ? :)
ReplyDeleteTransgressive, G! Nice shot dear
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are feeling better and getting out now! You don't want to be too thin. I like you the way you are.
ReplyDeleteIn the USA, they can't stop you from taking photos outside if you are on public property like a sidewalk unless you are in a place that has specific security needs, like an airport or bank. I get stopped every now and then. Most of the time I just walk away. Plenty of other places to aim my camera.
Depends, were there ant notices saying no photographs or I'd have told they to go spin
ReplyDeleteOh, that is sad, Grace, really.
ReplyDeleteI´m glad there is taken care you´re as safe as can be, but wee. Isn´t that a tad too much?
At least they didn´t make you delete the pic - which is unlogical anyways...
A great pic, too.
It must be difficult being a security guard now, too. I'd hate to have to watch out for suspicious characters, not knowing whether you would be safe yourself. Sorry, Grace, but I could not find you!
ReplyDeleteExactly, and this is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNot happened to me yet and if it did they would get a very long answer! Oh, and you do look a bit on the this side here.

What a shame that photos are not allowed because I see lots of great reflections.
