This was originally going to be my 'wet' image for yesterday's CDP theme day but the swan's derriere won out by a ruffled feather :) Paddling this way and that it always amazes me how ducks leave such a wide.. and quite photogenic wake behind them, it has to be all that furious paddling underneath the water.. the small rain shower adding sploshes to enhance my pics, merci beaucoup to the weather gods! Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe...

I like the path they leave behind in the water.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday Grace.
This one seems happy to be swimming about.
ReplyDeleteQuack quack! Great pic of the duck. Nice to see you have the rain. Sunny and still Saturday here.
ReplyDeleteAnswering your question.... he has to wait all month for his Bday cos it's on March 31.... and he lets us know every day through March that he's waiting very impatiently!
I love the first photo a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou have confirmed the thesis that ducks swim in water which probably means that ducks like water. And water is wet. And it was raining. You did good!
ReplyDeleteVery nice duck photos. We spotted quite a few ducks and geese during our travels, and we had rain too.
ReplyDeleteThat duck is making its own wee ripples. Nice shot Grace!
ReplyDeleteThose little feet are speeding along under that water, Grace! Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, its been duck weather here today as well!! Diane

ReplyDeleteLovely photos of duck and water. Happy April Fools day, Grace.
ReplyDeleteI love watching ducks, geese, swans....
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of ducks, wake and drops on the interesting water surface.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting wake and it is hard to imagine how its feet move underwater to cause the pattern.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a nice rain shower to make wonderful photos while cooling off and nurturing the earth.
ReplyDeleteLooks like traces of hard work, Grace!
ReplyDeleteHe is very determined to go a long way. Funny photo!
ReplyDeleteThe more water the better! Maybe that is what they are thinking ;)
ReplyDeleteNice photos, Grace!
Well done shots I've tried myself to less effect!
ReplyDeleteJa genau Wetter für Enten und andere die Wetterfest sind.
ReplyDeleteNoke
Wonderful swimming patterns in both scenes. Love the intrusive pools of rain on water.
ReplyDeleteYep, love the ripples. :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots, Grace, perfect for the "wet" theme !
ReplyDeleteNature's gifts.... perfect day it is!
ReplyDeleteI am currently SO FAR behind with CDP posts! I used to be quite current but have failed miserably in the last 6 months. Love the V created by the duck!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Grace! The way the light is caught by the water ripples, is fantastic.
