Spending the Kids' Inheritance Driving 'Round Oz'! This made me smile and is apparently happening more and more these days, that's quite a rig you have there Mr & Mrs Grey Nomad! If that's your thing why not I say, with a bit of luck when most people retire their kids are hopefully able to look after themselves. I took the above shots on Friday when the skies were blue, not so yesterday! Below, the 'only appointed carrier for Steinway pianos in WA'.. would that be a royal appointment :) Those black clouds developed into a wild storm.. the full package hail stones and all, thus causing my computer line to drop out more than it dropped in! So I gave up and went to bed with my book.. no one can say I don't live the high-life :) big catch up today. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..p.s. hopefully this posts!

It is a great idea! I would do that. Travel around. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Grace! (ok, it is still Saturday here).
ReplyDeleteGood to see not only people in the USA drive those over-sized too expensive monsters. My idea of travel is a backpack and tent.
We had a great motor home when our kids were growing up and it was the BEST way to travel with four young ones and a cat!!! My husband was in the military and we would take his entire months leave as soon as the kids were out of school and off we'd go!! It was such fun and such great memories!! Thanks for the reminder of those times, Grace!! Hope your weekend is going well!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great van to drive Australia! I heard from a friend who also lives north of the river that they had hail, just like you say, but where I live, south of the river, I can hardly call it a storm, a bit windy and a bit of rain, certainly no hail!
ReplyDeleteI can see the attraction of travelling in such style. However I feel that having another truck following on behind with the piano is unwarranted extravagance.
ReplyDeleteI want one! That looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like it when it storms and I can curl up with a good book.
ReplyDeleteI often pull out the phone camera to snap cars at lights too :). I was once sitting behind ELVIS in the traffic. And we have Wicked Campers which have wicked quips painted on the vans. See lots of grey nomads up here over Winter
ReplyDeleteWe had a tremendous amount of rain in 1 hour on Thursday evening which flooded out underpasses and even one subway station! Crazy weather everywhere, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very impressive mobile home.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
In the UK some social service drone would stop them and do them for child abuse!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an RV!
ReplyDeleteOh lol! That's really funny!
ReplyDeleteI's day you do live an interesting life, G!
ReplyDeleteALOHA from Honolulu
ComfortSpiral
=^..^= . <3
Dual air con units indeed. They really are doing it in style.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly more luxurious than Priscilla Queen of the Desert! I like the name of the manufacturer too, "Skidro".
ReplyDeleteI wonder if their kids know about their extravagant behavior. : ) Internet interruptions are so annoying. Hope you're back online and all's well.
ReplyDeleteI would love to travel around in one of those.
ReplyDeleteFlooded but still able to get on line! You had the best idea - bed, book & candle?
ReplyDeletehet komt allemaal wel weer goed.
ReplyDeleteWith gas prices these day, if I had one it would probably stay parked in 'Oz'. That balloon ride from Oz might be just the trick.
ReplyDeleteI love John's comment! And I certainly am not the one to criticize retired folks who enjoy traveling around . . .
ReplyDeleteDefinitively the best way to spend the time after retiring :-)
ReplyDeleteMr. Steinway`s real name btw was Steinweg and he grew up in my hometown. I learned the piano on a real Steinweg.
He assumed (right) he´d earn better money in the USA and changed his name, too.
We waited until all five kids were out of the house, before we bought ours. I do love what they wrote on it.
ReplyDeleteThe home looks really awesome! You guys, passing sounds like a lovely day!
