I joined thousands of photographers around Australia last night tripods at the ready to record the 2nd total eclipse this year. There was a fair bit of cloud to contend with and even a little bit of rain, but I managed to get a few shots before giving up and retiring indoors. If the Blood Moon Prophecy is anything to go by the end is nigh.. better get cracking on that 'bucket list' :) I prefer to have faith that mankind will eventually sort themselves out.. I've always been an unrealistic optimist, but what's the alternative oui! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...

Beautiful captures, Grace!! Yes, I'm an unrealistic optimist as well, what can I say!! Hope your week is going well!!
ReplyDeleteI tried to see the eclipse early this morning, but it was too close to the horizon and hence invisible to those of us who live in "the hills". :-)
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteA bit special, the blood moon. I have photographed it once.
ReplyDeleteI think we look at the same moon:)
ReplyDeleteGreat images!
oh wow, you got some great shots!
ReplyDeleteThis evening the moon is wonderful in my country. Thanks for sharing these shots.Wish you a nice Thursday. A big hug from Italy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Grace, awesome! The moon woke me tonight, shining bright into the bedroom.
ReplyDeleteHehe, "mooning" - I guess it was The Simpsons who gave me a really totally different idea of this! ;-)
Thank you, Grace--I was hoping one of the photobloggers I follow would get some good eclipse shots!
ReplyDeleteYou did well, your shots are quite well coloured, I was up but only saw a vague orangy glow as there was too much high cloud. yes there are dire predictions about this and the other 4 blloodmoon expected during this year, time will tell I guess, but hopefully it ewill not affect us in deep southern hemisphere. I'm counting on that anyway!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Grace! I missed it this time around which is just as well. My efforts to photograph the last one were not that great.
ReplyDeleteWhen the moon first started to rise I thought I might finally get some good photos. By 8 pm, we were totally socked in with fog and I couldn't see it at all. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to see it.
Beautiful pictures. When I got up to look outside, it was so overcast couldn't see anything.
ReplyDeleteNice job, mon ami!
ReplyDeleteALOHA from Honolulu

=^..^=
Nice photos, your moon seems to point at a different angle than ours, must be that you are south.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots! My glass is normally half full; unless it's someone else's round, of course.
ReplyDeleteYou must have a very strong camera! Beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteAll clear up here, but my little camera didn't take anywhere near as good a shot as these.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Grace. Clouds cleared here and when I looked at the moon as I was leaving for work it looked quite like your first photo. From Florida the white sliver was on the right edge just opposite of your photo.
ReplyDeleteNice work. We saw it here, but it was cloudy too and the moon was not very red. My favourite shot was taken in Japan at an amusement park with the chair of a Ferris wheel in front of the moon.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures Grace, by the time I got home last night and got my camera out all I could see was the moon behind the clouds, so I gave up!
ReplyDeleteImpressive moon shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic shots! There's something magic there ..
ReplyDeleteWow, you made some magnificent photo's Grace. I know it is very difficult.
ReplyDeleteOK, you've mooned everyone on CDP. Are you proud of yourself ? (You should be, those are wonderful photos!)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Glad you got them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any of these the other night. Boohoo.
ReplyDeleteYou did get some wonderful shots Grace! It was too foggy here to see anything.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots indeed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI like also the collage.
Very good. Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteIt shone brightly here, but not red, usually behind clouds and rain, bah!
Whether Hagee is right or not makes no difference. Jesus will return one day and I found he is a good guy to know. 'The day or the hour no-one knows but the Father.'
Wow, fabulous shots and treatments Grace.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular, and creepy!
ReplyDeleteTotal lunar eclipse is wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteYour shots are good!!!
I saw in Japan. Ohhhhhhh... mysterious.
