One thing became clear in the search for this months theme day shot, there are an awful lot of plastic cafe chairs around...there are others too of course, but I was looking for something that screamed out 'take me, take me'!! Regardez! I caught up with a friend last week and we had coffee and raspberry almond tarts at French patisserie
Scents of Taste in
Mt. Lawley, as you can see by the empty plates below they were tres scrummy, but that's another story, today it's all about the chairs! I can tell you that they came from
StaxChairs here in Perth, they are called 'Lace',but whether they were imported or manufactured here is
un mystère, they were the perfect 'quirky' touch for this popular petit patisserie! Happy Friday, take care.....Click here to view all participants of this theme day
I am looking at the coffee right now thinking......I could go for a cup:) Pretty chairs. Sometimes that plastic is dangerous. I've sat on a couple and gone down a couple time because someone had bent them etc. They don't last long if you have a rough crowd:)
ReplyDeleteDespite the hot color, the chairs could be lacy cool on a hot summer's day.
ReplyDeletePretty pictures. Glad you heard their "Take me!" cry.
I think the chairs are very nice and interesting. Not sure I'd want them on our lanai, but I sit on them in a restaurant! :)
ReplyDeleteSaw an HGTV show last night where a young lady decided to move from Perth to Brisbane because Brisbane was more exciting and hip. From your photos I'd think that Perth was plenty exciting and hip! :)
I love these chairs, the color and different design, really nice!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place for taking some cappuccino or coffee and meet friends!

This theme day is going to be an interesting one! You're getting us off to a good start, Grace. These definitely are colorful and quirky chairs. Not even close to the ones I found at a French cafe here.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love these colorful chairs!! And they're so different! Perfect for where they are and perfect for the theme day! Hope you have a great weekend, Grace!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI like those chairs almost as much as I'd like to have a raspberry almond tart! That sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I think you found the perfect cafe chairs! I want to plop down in one of them and help myself to, well, everything on the menu! (These captures really make me think of Hawaii somehow:) Hope it's been a delicious Friday!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think that such stylish plastic chairs existed but you've proved me wrong Grace! I love them.
ReplyDeleteLove these chairs! We don't have the weather for outside dining right now so that looks so inviting, Grace!
ReplyDeleteLooks nice and cosy :)
ReplyDeletei took up the challenge of showing those Paris cafe chairs how the other half sits but mine wont post til midnight tonite ... love your French Lace!
ReplyDeleteThis is so you! Fantastic find! Well done, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI like those, as opposed to the plain white plastic chairs we see all over the world.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had these here!
ReplyDeleteAll I have to say is...
ReplyDeleteOu la la. C'est chic!
Pas si chic que ça, mais rigolo.
DeleteThey really should ban plastic chairs. I usually complain if a cafe uses them. But at least you found some red and funky ones.
ReplyDeleteI like the design and color, but they don't look to comfortable.
ReplyDeleteMy son keeps saying he'd like to live in Australia. I think he's been reading about the food on your blog....
ReplyDeleteVery eye-catching images, Grace!
They look good but I am not sure about comfort. I suppose I am expected to say something about Perth tarts, but I won't.
ReplyDeleteThese are fun and would make great patio chairs.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cafe chairs, love the design and striking color. The French press is making me wish for a cup of coffee. Good shot.
ReplyDeleteColorful chairs. Liked them. Giving the more beauty to surroundings, some thing much lively vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Weekend.
Those chairs look so cool and stylish.
ReplyDeletelove them ♥
And I'm loving the color orange these days.
Now those chairs are certainly eye catchers which I suppose why the owners of this cafe chose them. Would I have them in my place? No - a tad too red and way out there.
ReplyDeleteyour entry to me is the most unique so far :)
ReplyDeleteBright and attractive but were they comfortable?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a happy color and a nice design!
ReplyDeleteHope the food and COFFEE tasted good!
Happy weekend!
Great and colorful designs!
ReplyDeleteHang on, so you were looking for something to scream 'take me' and you settled for CHAIRS???? Haha, only kidding - the RED works brilliantly!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteYes ,spring is coming here!
The new world with red chairs...
O.K. Two coffees black.
Greetings from down under.
Beautiful chairs, I wouldn't mind them around my garden table.
ReplyDeleteMuch, much better than your ordinary plastic stackables!
ReplyDeleteYou found some tasty food and unusual chairs!
ReplyDeleteAhh, drinking coffee and sitting on LACE! Nice.
ReplyDeleteWho would have guessed that there are so many varieties of styles in cafe chairs. You found some beauties with an intricate and very colorful design. Were they comfortable?
ReplyDeleteFrench lace ? never heard about it. Bien sûr, je suis Suisse... française.
ReplyDeleteIt's as the english kee or the french kee. la capote anglaise et la the french capote ( I have fegotten the name in english ) ( camdom ??? )
But at least the chairs are making a happy ton, in the open air.
Oh I love these Grace. They are my color you know. Good choice for our theme today.

ReplyDeleteThose are incredible chairs! I wonder how comfortable they are.
ReplyDeleteThese chairs look very inviting, as I am sure the pastry did, too.
ReplyDeleteNow there's a crazy thought! Lacy plastic! And here's a great example! Those chairs look so chic and yet they're plastic! Very clever designing and practical too for a cafe!
ReplyDeleteoh wow, aren't those cool looking chairs!! love the zebras above too!
ReplyDeleteQuite original and colorful ones. Like your choice for the theme day.
ReplyDeleteVery different from the average cafe chair!!! Fun!!!
