Chilli...eh! that's for babies.....!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any hotter..meet Eddie the fire eater! Here are the last few sights that caught my eye while we were in Fremantle on Saturday. Young Eddie knows how to attract a crowd, chilli..eh that's for babies! The shot above was for the crush, the one below was just pour moi, I'm putting that advice to 'ask' to good use these days! If you're looking in Eddie, merci beaucoup!
Just a few meters up from Eddie, it was almost possible to believe that this pretty young girl was a statue, until she slowly turned and raised her fan in thanks for the money P had placed in her basket.....
I haven't ridden a bike for goodnes knows how long, but if I get ever get the urge again, I'll be back to Vintage in Wonderland to see if this beauty is still there, isn't she pretty? A little basket on the front and off I go!
Then across at the harbour I spotted a fellow photographer taking an up close detailed shot of one of the sculptures on the Fishermen's Memorial that I posted about here, it was a super angle because a short time later when I took a shot from the same spot, the ships in the background definitely added extra interest and colour to the image. Hope your week is moving along at not too frantic a pace, take care and stay safe. p.s. Aimee and I went to Sculptures by the Sea on Sunday, show you tomorrow.....

  3. The black and white gentlemen, playing * cor des Alpes*, in the middle of the city of Lausanne, had done, as well, immobile statue. They are doing that in lot of contries. I have seen in Bresil as well. Do'nt know where the fashion start !

  6. I think I'll have to pass on the fire-eating -- at least for myself, but it would be great to watch someone else do it!! Your captures are the next best thing to being there, Grace! The girl "statue" is really delightful! What wonderful and fascinating sights you have in your world and I do love the tours you take us on!! Thanks!!! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!!

  17. No fire eating for me either. And I'm not very 'statue'esque either.

  18. Remember doing something alike while being young, this fire nearly felt cold and hence one was able to play with it. Love the last image. Nearly summer over here.

  19. Will the fisherman tip his cap when you put some money in his basket or was he a real statue?

  22. Excellent statue of a fisherman, placed where no-one is allowed to moor!

  23. I'll prefer to try chilli. Those statue people are to be admired for their efforts. I remember the fisherman statue, the statues on the jetty there are wonderful.

  26. I do like that statue on the dock.

I've seen the immobile statue trick by a busker here a couple of times. It does take concentration!

  27. I've seen fire eaters and worry about them because I think there are some chemicals that they use that could not be healthy! Doesn't seem like a healthy occupation...period!
