When it comes to colour, we always associate reds and oranges with hot, hot..and blues with cool. These shots were taken on City Beach the same day as the previous post and believe me it was hot in the city, hot in the city tonight , love that song! Even though the blues give the illusion of cool, it was scorching on the beach, just to get to this spot across the burning sand would have been a trek and in my opinion that umbrella is WAY too small, there ain't much protection going on there!! The ocean on the other hand disappears into infinity...The weekend is imminent, I hope that whatever you have organised goes to plan. Rain is predicted for Perth today hallelujah! I'm praying that it's not just a lot of hot air.....!!
Wow! Grace, It does look hot after your description. I really like your second image.
ReplyDeleteSeen from here, close to a dream.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good Friday.
Wow, the colour of the sea is stunning! Great shots, Grace.
ReplyDeletePS: I hope those sunbathers are absolutely smothered in sun screen - I can feel the UV beaming out through my monitor.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you're gonna get a lot of sympathy re the heat from people in the northern climes! :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful blues but living in Florida I know all too well of the truth you speak...blue skies, blue seas do not equal cool!
Kinda feel sorry for those folks laying out there getting skin cancer!
rain can be a blessing. . . . so are you

Blue blue blue. Very pretty.I hope they go into the water to cool off.
ReplyDeleteMy head rotating? I got tired of the previous one. I don't see showing the back of my head.
Beautiful blue shots.
ReplyDeleteSydney - City and Suburbs
Wow! What blue! I can't imagine laying on that beach like that - not many others around them it seems.
ReplyDeleteOh, I long for the days of summer, but then because it is so hot I wish it were winter. Great shots. Grace.
ReplyDeleteThe umbrella certainly does catch one's eye and adds a lot to the photo!
ReplyDeleteIf only rain had stayed away for 1 more day Grace. Been on plane at airport now for over one hour as first airport and now Tarmac still closed due to the thunderstorm. Just so long as get to Melb for dinner tonight!
ReplyDeletethat is a beautiful photo
ReplyDeleteMakes me long for a day at the beach.
ReplyDeleteomg that's gorgeous. i think i hate you....
ReplyDelete(kiddin' :)
The blues couldn't be more intense but the beachgoers skin will reach that red tone you mention if they stay there much longer. Doesn't Australia have a high rate of skin cancer?
ReplyDeleteBonza photos, but what's this speck i see in the top left hand corner of the second photo is it an alien spaceship watching the sun bathers :-).
ReplyDeleteAfter your post of the Southwester bar yesterday, I think you photos today look like the setting for a Corona commercial. (I don't know if you have Corona beer ads in Australia, so I apologize if you do not and this reference is unfamiliar to you.)
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you get that rain you are hoping for! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteCool shots! Hot girls! Best of both worlds. Hope you get a cool spell. We are having summer-like days here in SoCal. Hoping for rains in February.
ReplyDeleteI could send you some drizzle if you like... ;-)Oh that's the good life, innit? And they are alone on their little stretch of sand, that's even better!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love that second photo - it looks idyllic! Nevermind that they are probably sweating buckets :)
ReplyDeleteYeah it's rained all right, all night and now it will rain all day! I will not mention the hole in my shoe while you walk across burning sand.....
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a dreaming photo!
ReplyDelete(Sight) I'm waiting for late spring here! :-) Love your composition, Grace!
ReplyDeletelive is too hard for everybody
ReplyDeleteI am just not a gal who likes to lie on sand or lay on sand ... whatever .. I dont even like the beach .. but it does make for good photo ops .. here it was supposed to snow over night .. nothing happened so now its tonite its supposed to snow and tomorrow will be wet and ugly .. lovely .. I think much as I dont like the beach, I might need to come there vs staying here cause I dont like snow either .. I know, I am a whiner ..
ReplyDeleteLooks like good weather! Unpredictable weathers in KL, but i still make plans, and i am used to postponing them !
ReplyDeleteI have exactly the same beach umbrella! :o)
ReplyDeleteThe ladies seem alone in the world, and .. roasting!
Yep, summer in the city, we know the song... Our umbrella (or brolly) is yellow and white
ReplyDeleteI grew up a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and I used to bake myself in the sun like that. Now I wish I hadn't!
ReplyDeleteNice shot Perth, I guess you know how envious I am here in freezing Norfolk!
ReplyDeleteI could not lay like that in the sun anymore, I would become a melted package of butter. We had an item on television here about the white shark who had attacked two persons in your neighbourhood. Scary.
ReplyDeleteHow do they do that? I can only stay out in the sun for half an hour tops, after that I have to head for shelter.
ReplyDeleteDid you get any of that rain Grace?
I was out of range the whole time! :(
I think it made it worse, was dreadfully hot yesterday afternoon, not a happy camper!
Beautiful blues and yes, they hide the heat wonderfully, at least from the U.S.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Outrageously blue!
ReplyDeleteThey may end up red as lobsters...but it makes a great photo!
