Oh la la! excusez moi for being tardy today of all days...too many glasses of champagne last night to celebrate the New Year resulted in le grand mal de tete this morning, and here we are late afternoon in Perth and I'm just starting to feel like there's a possibility I might survive haha! I picked this picture as my favorite for the year for three reasons, firstly the chances of actually seeing a Blue Fairy Wren are so rare and secondly, from the time it appeared, turned and looked at me as if to say 'blink and I'll be gone' was a matter of seconds, so all in all it was a miracle I even managed to get it in frame at all and thirdly, it's just so darn cute I couldn't resist the chance to show it off again.....!! I hope you had a great New Year and hopefully awoke this morning feeling much better than I did.... To view images for today's theme: Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Ah Gracie!... Je vois que les Australiennes ne tiennent pas le coup au champagne!... :-) Mais tu as fait la fête et tu as eu bien raison. Les bons moments, il faut toujours les prendre quand ils se présentent.
ReplyDeleteCommence bien l'année!
Gros bisous.
This is the first time I've seen a Blue Fairy - cute indeed. Unfortunately, I have had a hangover or three - so know how you feel. Hang in there and hope another Blue Fairy comes your way in 2012!
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful... Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHow novel. Someone in Australia apologizing for being late in bringing in the new year -- many hours ahead of those of us in the Western hemisphere. Best wishes for the new year.
ReplyDeleteI loved this shot too! Happy New Year Grace!

Ce.
