It was Father's Day here in Australia yesterday, if it was in your part of the world also happy belated Father's Day 💙 Aimee took us out for breakfast at Deep Water Point Reserve in Mount Pleasant. Even though we are now officially into spring it was a blustery cool day. The two shots here got me thinking..I spend a bit of time getting my horizons straight as above, but I also like the shot below which encompasses more, reminding me of the many excellent photos I admire by Luis from One Photograph a Day. Perhaps it's time for me to loosen up and change up my horizons :) Hope you had/are still having a good weekend, take care and stay safe..

ReplyDeleteGood you could get out to a restaurant with Aimee. Must have been a good time. We have not eaten in a restaurant since last March. Interesting photos of the bay. I also like the shot with the tilted horizon.
ReplyDeleteMmm..it does look a bit like the Thames in winter! Tilted horizons are OK as long as it looks deliberate and not just careless.
ReplyDeleteSometimes now having a horizontal horizon adds perspective or adds a nice change perspective. Photography is art and art is what the artist makes it. I also enjoy Luis' blog.

For my usual images, I am a nut about getting the horizon straight, but I do appreciate Luis' creative work and I like the tilted images so long as it is intentional and a clear tilt, not just a haphazard tilt because the photographer was careless with the horizon.
