A splash of red..

Along the banks of Lake Monger a splash of red, a bottlebrush I believe. Can you spot the lone duck among the reflections.. I didn't, P did :) We are in for a red hot freak 40C day today, I will be up early preparing my garden for the shock. I bet I can't get any takers for a weather swap right! Back down to 25C on Sunday so no drama. Whatever the weather gods are throwing your way, enjoy. Happy Weekend , take care and stay safe..

  2. Oh yes, I see that lonely duck swimming by. Hope you are surviving the heat wave! The weather here (knock on wood) is just about perfect right at the moment. No complaints here. Perhaps I should get out and find some ducks myself.

  3. Very beautiful.
Our splashes of red remaining on some bushes got covered by some new snow.
    It's a balmy -1C here.

  5. That's a tad too hot for me. :) I gave up on the duck, I think I saw it but can't be sure. Anyway, the duck is cool. :)

  6. Great reflections in the water, and yes, I see the duck. 40°C is way too hot, but right now I would trade you. It is 0°C here with snow on the ground.

  7. The duck is well hidden.

I don’t envy your 40C. Our zero is looking pretty good now.

  9. I could hear my neighbour scraping ice off the car windscreen as I got up this morning; he might trade a few degrees with you.

  10. I think I see it.

We're below freezing here, but mostly clear skies.

  11. It was hidden well but saw it in the end. Liked that splash of red. Out with the hose myself before the horrid heat of the day gets too intense, hurry up winter!

  13. I did see it! It is 0˚C here and I just got back from doing an installation outside which took 4 hours so my hands and feet are pretty cold! I could easily take 40C for about an hour to warm up!

  14. Hot here, but not as hot as for you! I do see the duck, and I like the red splash of color. Pretty shot!

  15. Yes I see the duck. We've had heatwaves here too and it's not even Summer yet, wanting rain though to fill up our tank.

  16. My brother had a duck in his bedroom for some reason. A new pet? I sent him a message, nothing like a nice duck. The water in your photo looks very strange but in a good way.

  17. :-) Grace, yes. P always sees the tiny stuff. I´ll never forget the little blue bird I never spotted (at least I was honest, but P was quite annoyed, I guess!)
You make me laugh every day, I thank you for this big! :-)

"Down to 25C" - are you kidding me, not even 20C in the rooms here!

I wish you a happy weekend, too xox

  20. Lovely picture!
The weather around here doesn't change much. This week is supposed to be around 23°C day and 14°C at night all week. Almost never rains. Boring! ;-)
