All the way to the top!

We have a brand new mural in Perth city and it is ...BIG! Mega big. Painted by Melbourne based artist Matt Adnate, see more of his incredible work here, on the wall of Accor's ninth Art Series Hotels. The view looking up Hay Street on a grey day below. At 25 storeys high it is the biggest mural in the Southern Hemisphere 'eclipsing Adnate’s 20-storey housing complex mural in Melbourne’s Collingwood' and just seven storeys shorter than the world's tallest mural in Toronto which measures 32 storeys..

Scheduled to open its doors to guests in October, the Adnate, named after the artist, will be Perth’s first Art Series hotel dedicated to street art. It's not surprising that this mural can be spotted from so may places around the city. I think this might be the venue for an future overnight stay in the city opportunity :) Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

  5. Strikingly beautiful mural.
I'd love to visit an art themed hotel, and with street art there is such a variety of great unappreciated art in probably every city.

  6. Oh my, that is a big one. Sorry, but the first woman makes me think of a Middle Eastern flight attendant.

  11. Now I see why the Adnate mural in Katoomba seemed familiar to you. It's all in the faces with beautiful eyes.

  14. Indeed very big and also very well executed. The artist must love the diversity in humans and their clothing but I also had the feeling to see a subtile ad for a flying company from the middle east.

  18. When I first saw the individual faces, I wasn't aware it was one building and one huge mural. When you panned out, I saw how HUGE this mural actually is. It's a fascinating back story, too.

  19. That's very impressive and I wonder how it was done - presumably by someone with a better head for heights than me!
