It seems to me that whenever I think I have a head start on the rest of Perth, they're always one step ahead of me :) Sunday past my sister and I set off bright and early to explore the winter Perth Upmarkets held in the grounds of UWA (University of Western Australia). The reflection pool in front of Winthrop Hall was the perfect foil to capture the many that arrived before us :)
There's something altogether appealing about eating hot spicy food early on a chilly, crisp winters morning don't you think? If I remember correctly the temperature when I took these shots was around 14C.. proper jacket and scarf weather! Bon weekend, take care and stay safe... p.s. after an eight week official campaign it's Federal Election day, think it's going to be a close one!
Your winters are so much more pleasant than ours, Grace!
ReplyDeleteLove the great reflection from that pond. I will bet the architect put the pond there just so you could photograph this fine image.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots.... and such different winter!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Have a great voting day!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is especially good...not are the reflections beautiful, but the colors are so rich, and the photo is so sharp and it's wonderfully composed!
ReplyDeleteRe your question on Ocala: Yes, that's an alligator head on the wall. But that one doesn't bite. :)
Fantastic reflection in the pond opposite the Hall. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThoroughly enjoy the people reflection pond.
ReplyDeletePerfectly defined reflection.
ReplyDeleteNot many jackets and scarfs reflected in that pool! Grrrr
ReplyDelete14C warmer than here.
Nice pics mind.
Love that 1st shot, Grace! I'm not sure about spicy food first thing in the morning!
ReplyDeleteNice reflections in the pond. Scarfs, really? People must get cold easily on your side of the world :)
ReplyDeleteA good place for reflection photos. I tmay be chilly overthere, but at least you have sunshine... Here we are soaked all day long.
ReplyDeletetwice as nice
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very inviting event in spite of the brisk weather. I love that reflecting pool. It's just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteNice reflection, Grace. I particularly like the crowd photo at the end.

And it's only 3 years older than I am. Reflections are perfect. Did you spend any money on anything other than food?
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections on a sunny winter's day. The markets look good too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect spot for reflection photos. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI'd happily trade you for those great temperatures...30C here already at 07:00! Looks like a fun time, and spicy food to boot!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, Grace, now I´m hungry!
ReplyDeleteSeems like you´re not the only reflections-capturer there!
