Do you ever take a shot because.. you're not sure why but something about it just appeals? Sitting across from this cafe on Beaufort Street in Highgate the arrangement of yellow chairs, the tiled roof under which sat the three red awnings and the jaunty 'pop up' sign appealed to me, even more so when the general public :) walked/cycled into the scene.. but if I'd known before I Googled for details that the restaurant/bar was called 'Enrique's School for to Bullfighting' serving Spanish food with a side of gin :) we might have 'popped-in' :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...
It looks pretty and inviting.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place to visit. Did you?
ReplyDeleteI take photos of all kinds of things for all kinds of reasons. I enjoy CDP and my photo blogs, but basically my photography is for myself. So I understand this and I would most certainly have taken these same photos. It's a very interesting and attractive place. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Fort Lauderdale was "Ole! Ole!" We miss that since we've moved up to Ocala.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it is worth a trip back there, Grace!
ReplyDelete...but the tables aren't filled.
ReplyDeleteThere is very nice balance in the building and the photo that pleases the eye.
ReplyDeleteHaha sounds like all off photos ! I would have taken a picture of this place too...I really like it!

ReplyDeleteWhy yes, I do that same thing all the time. This certainly looks and now that I know the name, it sounds like an interesting place to visit. I do enjoy Spanish food and I do enjoy a little drink with gin every now and then. It sounds like I'd find something to like on the menu.
ReplyDeleteI do that sort of photography every now and then. You should pay them a visit now.
ReplyDeleteI love Spanish food, and suggest you go back to give this place a try. It might be wonderful. Bullfighting I'll leave to young Spaniards and Mexican. There is appealing aspects of your photo.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta take pix that appeal to you. We aren't commercial. We just take photos that delight ourselves. If someone else likes them, great, but the first and most important audience is YOU.
ReplyDeleteThen you have good photographer's habits, doing more than thinking. But bullfighting is undoubtedly prohibited in Australia the Spanish don't particularly drink gin. Some sherry, maybe?
ReplyDeleteOh I love that place too. And you got two revealing shots of it's charm, G!
ReplyDeleteYou have to go back for some "Bull meat"!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so nice, but where are the people?
ReplyDeleteCute...probably not what they were going for, but cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, that looks Spanish and inviting, Grace. I have to admit I was in Spain (as very young adult) but we never went into a restaurant (did I mention young? Not much money ;-)...)
ReplyDeleteI do, all the time, and I certainly would take this one, and I'd be ready to check the place out as well!
ReplyDeleteTaking photos that please you is the best thing to do!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, somewhere to go this winter.
ReplyDeleteThat little place has so much streetscape character and presence. It is a sunny place, brightening any winter's day.
ReplyDeleteNice shots!
