...tails! It's the school holidays here in Australia and AQWA (the Aquarium of WA)..excellent link, is a fun way to spend the afternoon, especially if diver Bill aka Uncle Bill :) is diving with the sharks.. blimey, look at those pearly whites! It's not the ones you see that you have to worry about it's the ones you don't..
Fascinated niece and nephews watching from the outside.. my personal preference :)
Watching from the inside, no worries.. I'm sure they feed the sharks before the divers go in :)
Below, fishy friends passing the time. 'Without sharks, you take away the apex predator of the ocean and you destroy the entire food chain', so says Peter Benchley. Something to think about.. from the safety of the seashore :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe...
I'm not a fan of sharks!
ReplyDeleteCue the Jaws theme....
ReplyDeleteThey are magnificent animals.
It is strangely "relaxing" to watch silent sharks glide by, as long as they are behind strong glass and I am not part of that food chain.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.
Wonderful photos of a wonderful adventure with some interesting commentary about the place of sharks in the ecology of the planet, esp. the oceans.
ReplyDeleteWow, great captures and always one of the best sights at our Minnesota Zoo, and always the busiest too!
ReplyDeleteThe blue seems so soothing, Grace! Glad you were on the outside looking in!
ReplyDeleteThought you had an underwater camera in your first pictures. Never want to be that close to a Great White in the water. Glad you took advantage of the holiday. Fun post.
ReplyDeleteNightmares to come!
ReplyDeleteYou have long been a dear blog pal. But I gotta say, you are raising your photo game to a whole new stratosphere!
ReplyDeleteBeware of the sharks because they snack on people. Jaws revisited.
ReplyDeleteJaws!
ReplyDeleteAnd you didn't get wet!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos -- your blue period.
ReplyDeleteFantastic (BLUE) images.
ReplyDeleteThe top one is my favourite.
The seaworld is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see, from the shore.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing sharks... in your beautiful photos !
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Grace! Last time we went there was 2006 - have they changed anything since, would another visit be worthy?
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I wish we had a big aquarium like this here but, I suppose since we are in the desert, that's not something that makes sense. I love seeing the kids watching the action so intently.
ReplyDeleteAmazing pics
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is really terrific, oh my those teeth...I don't think I'll be applying for the divers job any time soon...
ReplyDeleteStunning views of a fishy world. School holidays must be Australia wide right now. And our weather in Melbourne is not too inviting for spending long lengths of time outdoors. A little sun today, but apparently there's a mighty storm ahead.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I too feel much safer on shore. AQWA is a lovely aquarium.
ReplyDeleteCue the Jaws theme....
ReplyDeleteLove these photo's - what a great place to visit.
