I'm working with archive shots here as I haven't picked up my camera since the accident two weeks ago.. thank you so much for all the love coming this way during this unbearably sad time, hugely appreciated. I'm hoping to get back to posting daily beginning with the CDP theme day on the 1st of August. In the meantime I've been keen to show you two murals by one of my favourite Perth artists Paul Deej who's talent you've seen here many times. The super cool mural above inspired by the 1992 American neo-noir black comedy Reservoir Dogs and below on the corner of Walcott & Learoyd St. in Mt. Lawley the Hollywood starlet Anne Shirley. There's a Deej mural in Fremantle that's high on my 'must capture' list! Hoping to catch up with what you've been up to over the next few nights.. take care and stay safe..
Hello Grace, it's good to have you back. Hope you're all coping all right.

So sad to hear you've suffered loss, Grace. It is a privilege that people come into our lives, and stop awhile.
ReplyDeleteLoved the shots of those murals. In our thoughts.
Saddened to hear of your accident. Hope you are doing well. I've been touring around California and refused to take my PC so I've been digital free except for my dumb phone and camera. Neat murals. There were several nice murals in California. I think there were more in SoCal than NorCal. Too much traffic to take photos while driving though. Now if though.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to see you back Grace. I have been thinking of you and your family. I'm so sorry about the accident. Prayers and hugs my friend. The murals are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back Grace, take your time to process your awful loss. Wonderful murals, I love both of them. So many talented artists and beautiful murals in Perth.
ReplyDeleteI like's both, the second one in particular.
ReplyDeleteHave a Wonderful Week!
Peace :)
So sorry to hear about the accident, shows how up to date I am! The first one reminds me of the Blues Brothers and the last a foxy gal. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you back. The first thing I thought when I saw that top mural was The Blues Brothers, In must be those black suits, skinny ties and sunglasses. That second mural is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you again here! Love the murals - such wonderful contribution to the city.
ReplyDeleteVery striking murals. Given the circumstances and the loss, just take your time.
ReplyDeleteVery cool murals. Best wishes to you.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased that YOU are back again!
ReplyDeleteVery nice find, these artistic murals!
That Reservoir Dogs Mural is very striking Grace. They are walking forward and I know that first step is not always the easiest.
ReplyDeleteThey are super murals. Perth have the best. I think I'll go to Perth just to do a tour of the murals. Hope you are coping with your sadness somehow. Still thinking of you often.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you will soon be back, Grace. Love these murals, especially Anne Shirley.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see you back. And these murals are stunning. Not often do you seem murals with such a prominence of black. What a dramatic result.
ReplyDeleteDear Grace.
ReplyDeletePlease, Take care of yourself.
And Everybody wants to you come back.!!!
Yes, think of taking care of yourself now. Come back when you are ready.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see you back here. Take care xx
ReplyDeleteThinking of you
ReplyDeleteToday, by chance, I found your photo of the mural of Anne Shirley in Perth. I checked out the artist and the site of the mural on Google Street View. Very sadly it has disappeared, replaced by posters advertising "awesome food, delivered"!!! Very sad to see. I've been working, since 2010, on an amateur project on Anne's life and career and this mural is the first of its kind I've seen featuring her. The artist, Paul Deej, deserves 11 out of 10 for choosing her as the subject. If you visit this site there are 2 photos of how it once looked.
