Enter into 'De Parel Van Vuren'.....!

Translated 'The Pearl of Fire'.. Perth's very own 'spiegel tent' bought in 2011 by Artrage WA producers of  the Fringe World Festival happening right now and for the next four weeks in Perth. Aimee and I were lucky enough to be invited to the opening night of Twisted Vaudeville Circus who are WA's very own premier circus cabaret show.. not in the spiegel tent (we will get there before the festival is over) but in one of the small threatre venues in Northbridge. It was so much fun, not the easiest situation for photos but I think you'll get the idea.. The host for the evening was the faaaabulous 'Panache' who would have put any quick change artist to shame, j'adore Panache!

Aerial Twist..'the superfreak'!

Direct from London deviant diva Bernadette Byrne and half moustachioed musician Victor Victoria together known as 'East End Cabaret'. A true diva entrance astride the backs of two burly young men plucked :) from the audience.....

'Mistress of Tease'  Bella de Jac, Miss Burlesque Queensland.. you were divine daaarling !

The Vintage Reds getting physical.....

Last one for today made us laugh so much and prompted Aimee to update her Facebook status to 'When my mum asked me to go out to a fringe show tonight I really didn't expect to see so many testicles'.. I wasn't quite sure how to present the photo below to a wider audience.. somehow pink seemed most appropriate, I'm still laughing at the memory :) Hope that you've got a super weekend planned.. I'd like to stay in bed all weekend, but that's not going to happen. Take care.... Click here to see other 'Entries' from around the world.....

  15. Very frisky set of photos today, Grace. It must have been a pile of fun.

There is now a new burlesque show in Hartford. I hope I remember to visit it with my camera when I get back in May.

  16. This looks like fun...but if I tried what the woman in the third photo is doing, I'd end up in a body cast!

  20. That name sounds very dutch indeed and funny you call it still a spiegeltent, instead of a mirror tent. The performances look very great, would love to see them all. Have fun.
