On Thursday evening we entered the gates of 'The Pleasure Garden' once more.. oh la! it was a hot night in Perth in more ways than one :) We were there to watch the ladies of La Belle Epoque perform in the WA Spiegeltent, and as it was a 'no photos' kind of gig you'll have to take my word that it was fabulous, it was nice for a change to relax and enjoy the show. The spiegeltent itself is an amazing venue, you really do get that feeling of stepping into a bygone era... I apologise for the quality of the photos but with lights flashing everywhere inside and out it was tres tricky!
Although there were no photos during the show the cast were more than happy to mingle and pose after the show and yes, I was up to my old 'photo-napping' tricks again :)
Walking back to the car after the show it was so good to see the cafes and restaurants around Perth and Northbridge overflowing with people having either just come from or going to a Fringe or Perth Festival event.. February and March may be the hottest months in Perth but there's more than enough going on to take your mind off the weather :) Happy weekend, take care.... p.s. I see a couple of tables free in Positano, meet you there for Fringe next year oui!
Oh, it does look like such a fun night out, Grace!! I love it and wish I could have been there, too!! Your photos are the next best thing!! Thanks as always for sharing the fun, the color and the beauty!! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves, Grace!
ReplyDeleteTerrific evening shots from the city, and the ladies look smashing!
I can hardly wait for summer to arrive here, Grace! And to be able to sit outside at a cafe.
ReplyDeleteOh would that I could take you up on your offer. It looks like a total blast !

ReplyDeleteThat was quick!
This all looks so pretty and joyful to join. Love all this theater and performances. We once had dinner in a Spiegeltent in Amsterdam for my 60th birthday celebration. It was great, the dinner andthe entertainment as well. Acrobats, music, comics, loved it.
ReplyDeleteDo you only ever have a good time?
ReplyDeleteCould you iron one or two shirts for me to have a break maybe....?
Really cool! Happy to see scooter types are welcome :-)

Hot or not, it looks like it was a fun night out under the lights.
ReplyDeleteSuch nice lights and color must have been wonderful walking around there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab night out, love the photo-napping and that wonderful cafe! Nothing like al fresco dining, wish it were going to be warm enough for that this wkd, but I'll be happy with just some snow meltage:)
ReplyDeleteParty party party. You don't miss too many opportunities, do you, Grace?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really nice place. Party on Grace!
ReplyDeleteJust being in a Spiegeltent makes you think of burlesque style naughtiness.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder what a Balkan Grill is?
I will be going next year, you're having far too much fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan and that cafe sounds like the perfect place to meet up.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures Grace.
ReplyDeleteO, mais non, Grace! Guess... we´ll have to stand the heat next year - Ingo at least keeps telling me this!
ReplyDeleteI go with Sami´s comment ;-)
