'Chill out zone'.....

How often do you see this right in the centre of a city! When we first arrived early there was one gentleman fast asleep in a bright orange deck chair in the 'chill out zone' in Forrest Place. Perhaps he sat to read the paper while his wife shopped, I did take a shot of him from the front, the paper couldn't have been that interesting, he was fast asleep :) As we were leaving the city a few hours later it was a much busier scene. With the hot weather we're having this is an excellent arrangement where mums can have a coffee or lunch from one of the many eateries around the square while watching the kids cool off in the water labyrinth.. nice one Perth, summer fun in the city! Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.....

  3. With two more inches of snow this morning and temps still below freezing, this is a VERY attractive scene. :-)

  8. I have to confess, I wish we had something like this but I think there's no chance of it ever happening in Versailles. Hope you got wet! :-)

  10. Wow, this is in the center of the city? So lovely, what a great idea. Here in Trapani our center consists of a few shops and cafès...really exciting:)

  12. The fountains are just brilliant for hot kids, the modern equivalent of a lawn sprinkler at home. Melbourne had one but it was shut down.

  14. I would rather just sit right there and people watch than shop. My grandkids would love the water!

  22. I hope the sleeping man was well under an umbrella, wouldn't want a nasty sunburn! This is a nice idea though, making a cute and relaxing place to get away from the heat.

  28. This kind of made me laugh because I fell asleep yesterday afternoon while sitting in my back yard. I must have been really tired because that iron chair I was on wasn't that comfortable. :-)
I love fountains like the one here. It's so much fun to watch the kids play in it.
