Scitech silhouettes.....
One of the many fun things about having great nieces and nephews means that now and then you get invited along to some fun places that might look a little odd if you visited without a toddler in tow! Places designed especially for curious three to seven year olds like Discover Land at Scitech in the City West centre. My three year old great nephew was slightly distracted by the whizz, bang, boom of it all, but he did pull up short here at the light and silhouette screen, made even more fun when he found a box full of props to create many different fun shapes. It's a long weekend here in Perth with the temperature soaring to 34C tomorrow and along with unwanted announcements on the radio about the long, very hot dry summer coming up, I'm starting to dread it already! Hope your week gets off to a good start, take care and stay safe.....To see more silhouettes from around the world click here.

Looks like a great place to stimulate a young and active imagination!
ReplyDeleteLove it. He is entranced...I would be too. Hopefully you will have a mild summer?
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun! I love it!! And what a terrific place to take the young ones to!! When I was teaching in grade school I tried to find places like this to take my classes to -- as well as my own kids! Hope you had a great weekend and have an equally great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots for Theme Day! Our long, hot summer here is about over and I am so glad.
ReplyDeleteFunny game of coloured shades! Arianna
ReplyDeleteLovely illustration of the theme! I am still trying to pick out mine...
ReplyDeleteAlso, what made the deer run away? Me! They got tired of me creeping ever closer and hightailed it out of there. :)
DeleteOh cool! I wanna play there too. How do they make all those colors??
ReplyDeleteAfter going through science museums for kids with my littlies, I always think I should go back alone someday.
C'est amusant comme jeux !!!
ReplyDeleteI need to borrow a kid every now and then. Nice silhouette.
ReplyDeleteCheeky? Why, Grace . . .
That's why I work with children!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to be you for a day!
ReplyDeleteAloha from Honolulu,
Wishing YOU a super week

There certainly are a few things only light can do. These are wonderful, wonderful images. Please have a good new month ahead. p.s. nearly same temperature over here.
ReplyDeleteThat looks such fun. I'm looking forward to when my granddaughter is a bit older and we can play like this. Regarding your summer and hot weather on the way... we shall do a deal... I shall visit here for sunshine and to be cheered up. You can visit my blog through our long, dark cold days, to get cooled down - I shall endeavour to make winter look attractive! We're never satisfied, are we?
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great place to play with the kids...have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMakes me wish that I was a care-free kid again! I am not looking forward to our winter - snow, cold, yuck!
ReplyDeleteNice.... when one expects 'silhouette' to be black, love it that here's a multicoloured one!
ReplyDeleteThat is just too fun.
ReplyDeleteAw, what sweet and fun shots! Makes me want to shrink myself to that size again! I love those psychedelic, colorful multi-silhouettes, perfect for theme day.:) (We're supposed to be done with our long hot summer, given it's autumn, but still getting a few too-humid/sultry days!)
ReplyDeleteSo YOU had a great time as well!!! Keep cool today.
ReplyDeleteA very good idea - chromatic silhouettes. I wonder if it confused or stimulated the child.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see kids having fun, this picture is adorable and you got wonderful effects, kind of psychedelic colors! I like it very much!
ReplyDeleteHugs and a nice day dear Gracie!

I agree Grace. It is a joy to watch toddlers having fun and even a greater joy to be involved. Nice idea for CDPB theme day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would have enjoyed this too. We are all kids at heart!
ReplyDeleteoy .. missed another CDPB theme day ... sweet silhouettes .. and we are in for a wild winter ....
ReplyDeleteNice work Grace!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Grace. You are having too much fun with the little people :)
ReplyDeleteSo strange and original!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to borrow a three-year-old for a couple of hours. :)) Neat shots.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting.....and a first that I've seen something like this done with the camera. But my eyes hurt:)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, silhouette in different colors. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and magnificent action shots!
ReplyDeleteI bet your great nieces and nephews think you are a great great aunt. What an interesting treat!
ReplyDeleteOh, very clever! Love this interpretation.
ReplyDeleteVery creative, Grace!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! What a great entry, Grace!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Sorry I haven't been posting or visiting lately but my free time has been entirely spent at the hospital where my mothet still is, after having had three infarctions. She's much better now and I hope she will go home soon.
