You might have to zoom in for details.
As a confirmed acrophobic (plus the vertigo thing!) I can't imagine what makes people do things like climb down cliffs, skydive or bungee jump for fun! Me, I like my feet planted 'low' on terra firm, BUT.......!!
I will go to dizzy heights (ha!ha!) to get a shot. This was out at Kalamunda quarries, a popular place for abseiling. Another spot found by my friend (and sometimes mentor!!) believe me it's not somewhere I would venture alone, he took this shot of me from the abseiling spot.
Great colours. I also would leave abseiling, bungee jumping, skydiving, etc to others. Happy to take photos of them though.
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely breathtaking!! Never done it but I don't think I would say no!
ReplyDeleteThe colouring in the rock is beautiful - I'm all for both feet firmly planted on the ground!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to know it's not just moi who is happy to just watch these precarious pastimes, or as Joe says ..take pictures!!
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of 'happiness' in that last comment hahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun but I would not be brave enough. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteI would love to do this but my family would have a hissy if I suggested it - hah! This is a beautiful place for rappelling (American version of your word) with that rich ochre color of the rock. My daughter rappelled off Cheaha Mountain (Alabama) when she was at summer camp... the video was quite scary from the top.

Genie
Would you really like to do this Genie? I wish so much I wasn't afraid of heights. I was very proud of myself for climbing the Eiffel Tower and also Arc de Triomphe . Well sometimes you have to put your fear aside for special occasions haha!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Grace
wow thrilling!
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking !!

The colours and landscape are to die for. I'd be happy just walking! :-)
ReplyDeleteBecause it was there?
ReplyDeleteI would love to photograph here but like you, I need to stay far away from the edge!

Great shots and great place! The colours of the rock wall on top are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I did some abseiling when I was at school! The terrifying part was having to tip yourself backwards over a cliff, but then the fun started as you bounced and swang your way down to the bottom, securely attatched to a rope!
