Baby it's cold outside..

It has been winter chilly in the morning and evening, perfect weather for hot chocolate at San Churro's at Hillarys Boat Harbour. It has also been the most frustrating few days for me though as my camera, which is only a year old, has been giving me a hard time. It won't switch OFF.. the only thing I can do is take the battery out when not using it. Taking it into the camera shop today to see if they can sort it for me, fingers crossed as I really don't want to have to buy a new body so soon. Happy 4th of July to my American readers and happy weekend, take care and stay extra safe..

  2. Wonderful reflections looking into this appealing shop window. Yes, I also love hot chocolate. Hope the camera shop can sort out your problems. Cameras should last much longer than a year.

  3. Oh that is very frustrating. Every now and then my camera freezes up and I have to pop out the battery to reset it. I've got 50 year old cameras that still work, why can't these new ones? I've a very frustrating week too. I won't bore you with the details but suffice it to say, it was computer problems. Not my personal computer but my work computer. It even has the IT department scratching their heads.

  7. What a wonderful reflection, Grace. I love the cobblestone view in the window and the shop. Nice capture! Good luck with your camera. I wouldn't be happy either, it's not an old camera after all.

  8. I love the look of that shop, Grace! I am becoming unhappy with technology and the fact that it always seems to have issues! Older things lasted a lot longer.

  9. Sounds like an unusual camera malfunction.

  11. Good luck with the camera. It hardly feels like a year since you bought it.

  12. So just how cold is it? It is slow and expensive to get repairs in the US on my Fujifilm equipment. Hope there is someone up to the job in your area.

  14. Define chilly, Grace ;-)
Our summer is still not back, nor is my camera, still relying on Ingo´s, which is better than nothing but no fun.
In Germany you have a guarantee of two years per se and for €50 I got it for 5 years even (haha, that was pre-Corinna. I have the guarantee, just not the service I expected!)...
How is it in your place? (Not that it matters, my Joondalup-Lenovo is now more than two years old...).
Good luck your service is better!

  15. Very strange fault you have on your camera but if it is an Olympus (I guess) then some strange faults can happen mostly in the electronic department. I have also an E-M5 who sometimes shows the art filter display while I asked something else on the strangest times. But still a nice reflection here.

  16. Hello Grace,
On cold and rainy days is this the right place to be with a warm drink.
I wish you all the best with your camera. Let's hope they can fix it. Good Luck!!

    Greetings, Marco

  17. I hope you don't have to buy a new body. Camera gear, oh, fun but costly sometimes. I recently switched from Nikon to Canon. So fun to shoot. Happy Winter. I just told hubby that I could go for a hot chocolate!

  20. Sometimes things just don't work as they should or as my mother would reflect, well it could be just meant to be. Maybe it's not ready to be shut off! This image is so interesting. Could it be all the puzzles we're doing lately, but it could be a cool design for one!
