Herdsman Lake encore..

Despite the tiger snakes and probably many types of spiders and other creepies also if you looked :) a walk around Herdsman Lake, a wildlife sanctuary popular with birdwatchers is always a pleasure. I have so many phobias.. flying, small spaces, deep water, heights to name a few but funnily enough I have no fears walking in the Australian bush. The way I see it is if you are careful and respect the creatures that call it home, it's all good. Would you let the experience I had in yesterdays post put you off, I don't think so right 😉 Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Beautiful area Grace, but that snake you saw would put me off going there again.

  4. It is a beautiful area but the snake would make me wear good hiking boots there! I don't mind snakes but don't like the poisonous ones.

  6. Adventurous environments overthere. I remember the big spiders in the hotel rooms there and all kind of creepy creatures we saw there, the "horny devil" along the road. All those insects flying around your head doing the "Australian Wave"all the time....

  7. I'm glad we don't get snakes here, I'm not sure how I would react. Have you seen one up close?

  10. It looks like a great area for wildlife. Heavy pants and stout shoes can reduce the snake risk.

  13. To be honest, Grace. If Ingo in 1995 had told me of all the creepy insects you have I might´ve said no.
But he´s a clever man and said not a word! :-)

  14. Wow, great photos from your walk with nature. You are right, I've encountered snakes and spiders many times. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone.
