Two Cities..

We weren't there for the views but it was impossible not to be distracted, especially when you can see two cities from one spot! Standing atop Buckland Hill to the left the mechanical giraffes in Fremantle Harbour and to the right just visible over the tree tops Perth..

Below a clue as to why we were there.. fascinating stuff! Can you see there is the slight shadow of a ship out to sea directly in firing line, thankfully it's 2018 and not 1942, huge clue :) Show you tomorrow. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..

  1. A ship from a country that was on the wrong side in WW II, I assume. It looks like a good spot to explore, Grace!

  2. These shots are so beautifully saturated with the colors of WA. That shot of Perth over the rooftops is breathtaking. Some gorgeous homes there! And the last shot was probably taken from an old coastal bunker built to defend Australia from the Japanese onslaught. Oui?

  8. Great views Grace. Did you get to fire the cannon?

  9. Looks like a pleasant area. The gun emplacements are not uncommon. That's why the southern tip of Manhattan is called The Battery.

  10. I would have guessed the cannon was WWI. I like the centre photo with Perth's buildings in the distance.
