The ugly duckling..

Paperbark trees en masse may not be a pretty sight to some, personally I find their rumply-crumply peeling barks quite fascinating and am always temped to pull a piece off, take it home and write a letter on it:) However in reflection, especially if the water is a bit brackish, they transform from ugly duckling to stunning swan. Took these shots at Lake Yellagonga last week. Looks like blue skies for Perth this weekend.. wherefore art thou winter :) Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe..

  2. Oh how beautiful are your reflections and how quaint that you'd like to write a letter with the paperbark's bark ! How ironic too, that we have many of the same flora as you have. Be safe and enjoy your day. Jo

I think Toronto is a bit bigger than Perth but not by much.
