That kind of day!

My favourite kind 💙 In the city yesterday looking to snap a new winter header shot for the blog. Took the shot above from inside the Dôme on St Georges Terrace while enjoying my poached eggs and coffee breakfast. I took lots of shots of Perthites dashing up and down the terrace before seeing if I could catch any fabulous umbrella shots along Murray Street. There were many umbrellas but not the one :)

Just as we were about to head back to the car a fire alarm went off in one of the stores along the mall and within minutes the fire brigade were on the scene.. false alarm but a bit of colour for moi :) I loved that the fire engine was already sporting a big red nose on its front grill in readiness for Red Nose Day later this month on the 29th. Not only everyday heroes but generous heroes too, what's not to love. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. the search for the winter header shot continues!

  4. Rainy days are perfect with shiny streets and great reflections. Your umbrella shot is not bad at all. Have a great Wednesday.

  5. We had a forest fire in Tungelsta yesterday. Lots of fire fighters from all around Stockholm worked hard until late in the evening and managed to contain it.

  10. Rainy days are rather depressing for me - maybe we get too many of them!

  12. I've always thought rainy photos can be gorgeous. And you've proven my right! Love how everything sparkles and how the colors pop. Glad that there was no fire but you got a bunch of red in the end. I like the red nose on the fire truck!

  16. Nice rain shots Grace. You need more of the fire engine though. Oh yes, Red Nose Day. I think I still have mine from last year.

Here it´ll be another 6 big cans of water for the balcony plants - no rain, fire danger is hight, too.

  21. I'm feeling just a bit jealous. It's been a very long time since we've had a day like that here and we could certainly use it. These are great "rain day" shots. It makes me wish I was there.

  22. I could really enjoy having winters like yours, but, then of course when the urge to build a snowman takes over, there might be issues!
