Colouring up a grey day..

Yesterday was as grey as the day before and probably as grey as it will be today! What to do to brighten things up! For me it was a trip to the wholesale flower markets! What do you do when you take a shot you like but no part of it is sharp and clear.. art it up and blur to the max, it's all about the  colour right :) It's the first time I've been to the wholesale flower markets, it was so worth it value wise..

I came home with the beautiful red/orange tulips below for so much less than I would have paid in a florist shop.. can't wait until they go all sculptural :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe... P.s. last shot to show you exactly how grey it was 😉

  4. The vase holds the tulips perfectly. A bit more than grey. It looks like it is pouring down.

  6. Lovely colours, maybe visiting our local markets is something I need to do, it's been pretty dismal here.

  7. Looks like an excellent way to spend a grey day. My word, that looks more like Perth, Scotland than Perth, WA!

  8. This could become a happy habit!
I love the smell of florists and flower marts, even the floral department of a supermarket. Throw in flower color and beauty and you've got an instant lift. (Is that a Deco mirror behind your tulips? Very nice!)

  9. Hmmm, I do not know which pic I like best... thinking of Perth it´d be the last one (one can dream, no?)!
Just came back after watering with the 6th can of water, blue skies and ... Oh! Don´t jinx it, right? The tulips look wonderful and I agree - blurry or not, the colors matter - always!!

  12. I wish that "Anonymous" would comment on how he REALLY feels! Perhaps if he was able to accompany you to this beautify flower market, he might become more mellow. Certainly wish that there would be one here that is comparable to yours!!
