One of my favourite places to sit and and people-watch on St. Georges Terrace is the Shingle Inn. They make a seriously luscious avocado, chicken, oozing with Camembert cheese on brown multi-grain.. there's nothing quite like oozing Camembert.. unless it's oozing Brie :) and you can sit right out on the terrace and admire the view.. it's not just you men who appreciate a pert derriere, am I right ladies! Two of Perth's finest!
Kangaroos on the terrace.. the beautifully restored Old Treasury Building in the background below. I don't think I've ever seen 'The Kangaroos in the City', created in 1997 by husband and wife sculpture team Charles and Joan Smith' without people posing for photos either on or beside them..
Council House window cleaning day, good luck chaps, there's an awful lot of 'em! Hope your week is progressing well, happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...
The kangaroo sculptures can't be resisted, and the food looks good!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Grace. I'll have to give The shingle inn a try sometime.

ReplyDeleteI'm staying safe with both feet on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLove the kangaroos and lunch!
ReplyDeleteThose window cleaners have a job I in no way desire. Too high for a start for me. And adore the kangaroo sculpure drinking by the water. That's unique. A great little post of interesting bits and pieces.
ReplyDeleteGrace, I am shocked!!!! :-) They do have really nice b*** :-)
ReplyDeleteSo WHY did we have to have so many windows?! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd join you for that lunch with a view, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDelete'Excuse me officer. I am lost. Please help me.' Nice capture of the 'roos.

ReplyDeleteI definitely agree Grace, nice derrière shot you got there! I like all of the other photos too and the food looks so good.
ReplyDeleteMore great views of Perth though your eyes! Take care.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually associate sandwiches with sex, but in this case, I may have to make an exception. I'll pass on your admiration for the posterior view in the 2nd shot. Do like the roos, though! :)
ReplyDeleteLovel captures all!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that sandwich looks too good to pass up. I do love those kangaroos!
ReplyDeleteNice bums. Those window cleaners have a scary job. What happened to the cages they used to use?
ReplyDeleteGreat sandwich photo(although I can't help but prefer baguette for sandwiches - it's cultural)and I love the idea of sitting there and doing some serious people watching. Nice pair you caught there.
ReplyDeleteSuperb pics. Specially Sandwich & Kangaroos :)
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich does look delicious...and I love the kangaroo sculptures!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy, Grace! And oh, not a job for me the men are doing, for several reasons!
ReplyDeleteYummy & healthy sandwich. Nice to see "Skippy Kangaroo" too.
ReplyDeletePS. I could never do a job as a window cleaner..... like they do!
Good place for a friendly lunch! Arianna
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe the way time flies by - but it does.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of that sandwich.
Great selection of photo's.
All the best Jan
I will take half of that sandwich, OK? But, oh, don't show me photos of window washers. I feel about heights the way you feel about flying.
ReplyDeleteGreat colour presentation with the food. Kangaroo statue hard to resist.
ReplyDeleteThe kangaroo sculptures are amazing.
