... flying IS safer than driving on the roads! Home safe and sound and with the help of a little white pill I didn't feel a thing :) I confess I've been home for a few days but there was the jungle garden to tend, the complete Season 5 of Game of Thrones to watch and a book to finish! Traditionally my first post back from Sydney is a shot of my very favourite bridge from a different angle.. here looming out across the river from The Rocks. Below my son holding on to my granddaughter's shirt incase she's tempted to lean too far.. I remember doing the same thing :)
Pax's second birthday party was a big success and as official 'face painter' it wasn't long before Aimee had an eager queue of clientele.. supervised by the birthday girl :)
Flower power! I've got a whole lot of catching up to do, looking forward to seeing what you've been up to while I've been away, hope you'll bear with me. Back to Perth goings-on tomorrow, happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe...
Terrific shots! It sounds like you had a good deal of fun while you were there.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Grace, I missed you. Lovely pictures of the children and grandchild, I can see you had a wonderful time. Brave you did the flight, great you did it!

ReplyDeleteNice that you are back again, Grace! I am pleased that you have had a great time, and the image of the BIRTHDAY girl and the nice and fun aunty is very good.
ReplyDeleteThe image of the bridge is superb! Looks exotic to see trees like this, the light and composition is also great.
You have got a very nice and funny daughter! Arianna
ReplyDeleteThese Sydney photos are delightful. Your birthday girl looks so cute in that little hat and love Aimee's great smile in the last photo. Welcome back.

ReplyDeleteSuperb picture of the bridge!
ReplyDeleteThe face painting was good also.
Isn't she just gorgeous. You must have had such a great time with her. Below the bridge looks serene, forgetting how noisy it with the traffic and trains above.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Love that bridge! And you have a beautiful family!

ReplyDeleteI remember our first day in Australia. We were staying in Wolloomooloo and walked across whatever park to The Rocks. It was disorienting. We had never seen the sun in the north before.
ReplyDeleteLove the last picture. It glows.
I hope you have that last one on your wall... or PC screen. Priceless.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen the bridge from that angle before. Love the flower girls.

ReplyDeleteAaaah that bridge! I remember turning around it so often with my camera. Wonderful memories. Your photo is as gorgeous as it gets. I love its greenish tones, as if the colour of the bay reflected on the bridge.
ReplyDeleteAs for the birthday party photos, they're delightful.
Glad you got home safely and you're finally coming to terms with flying. I can't imagine driving from Perth to Sydney!
