Je ne comprends pas!

Firstly 'un certain jour lorsque c'etait fini' seems way too much wordage for 'please mind your step' :) and secondly why am I looking at the the most incredibly mouth watering food pics when I'm famished and that 5kgs is hanging around? Check out the review of La Veen by 'Cafe Couture'.. in a heritage listed building on the corner of King and Wellington you couldn't get a choicer spot, especially when the link between the city and Northbridge opens up oh la.. prime! In a rush as always I clicked these two shots and ziiip.. gone, but in the words of you know who "I'll be back" :) Hope your week has started well, take care...

  1. Makes you wonder if someone's been stumbling into those stone bases whilst texting.

  4. The only thing I can see that could be a trip hazard is 'that sign' :). All good fun!

  5. That sign must be for the people who are following the scent of good food and coffee and not paying attention to where their feet are. Now that I think about it, that could be me given the number of stumbles I've endured lately.

  8. Here the sign would just say, "Slippery" and have a universal symbol of a person falling down. Interesting sign.

  11. William is right, Grace. We've had all kinds of weird accidents covered on our local news, the result of texting while walking!

  12. I wouldn't even need to be texting - I could easily trip on that rubber mat . . . . .!!! Joy x

  18. Je ne comprend rien, or so it seems much of the time.

"Please mind" is so English. "Mind the gap" in the London Underground. I'm not sure the average person in the US would understand it.

  24. I wonder if people who aren't watching where they are stepping are looking at signs anyway. Just sayin'. ;)

  25. When I first visited London years ago, I giggled at the warning signs, such as "Mind Your Head!" but those and other similar signs certainly are helpful!!
