Bells Rapids.. Watching my step.

Not the English country-side but beautiful in its own way. The pic above was taken towards the end of the walk when the sun was beginning to get a bit of warmth into it, the red earth colours here are exactly as they were. Walking along the river bed to the bridge below, Have a look at how this scene looks after the rains, beautifully captured in less than two minutes here.. incroyable oui!

This walk would have been impossible after the rains..

Through the bushes the super long good train on it's way up to Kalgoorlie..

A few of the trails we walked/climbed.

There were birds too, from afar a trio of Australian shelducks making quite the din..

..and below a rare glimpse in the bushes alongside the river of red plumage.. could it be an unknown new and exotic species of bird  🐦Phew, made it in ten pics :) hope you enjoyed the walk with me. Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. big catch up today, haven't been feeling tip-top!

  5. Grace, enjoyed coming along on your walk. You pointed out many interesting sights. I can imagine this is a dangerous place in high water. The Shelducks look great. Hope you are feeling better.

  6. You are so fortunate to have such a beautiful area to walk and talk and shoot cameras! I can't walk much anymore, but I'd love to spend some time there practicing my photography and looking for those red-headed birds. I couldn't tell, from that distance; maybe it was a kangaroo? Maybe you've discovered a whole new species!

  10. Amazing video of the swollen river. No snakes around? In the last photo, it looks like a plastic bag to me.
