The Big Splash lV.. InterAqua.

This one is especially for my beautiful 'almost' four year old granddaughter whose favourite colour is purple!  InterAqua by international visual artist Claire Davenhall sitting here on St Georges Terrace in front of Stirling Gardens is the epitome of purple and blue luminosity depending on the angle the sun catches it. One of 36 dolphins around the city making a Big Splash together with Perth Children's Hospital Foundation to draw attention to the mental health issues of children and young people.

The shot below made me smile.. the puzzled 'how did that get there' look of the resident kangaroos on the Terrace, plus the small child's 'don't ask me' stance :) Hope that you are having a fabulous weekend, take care and stay safe...

  2. These are all delightful photos! Purple is one of my favorite colors, so that dolphin really works for me. And the look on that kangaroo's face is priceless. As is the shot of the boy who seems to be asking, "What is going on here?" Great post, Grace. Happy weekend to you, too!

  9. A dolphin and a kangaroo, best buddies. The way the child is standing is pretty neat. I love the kangaroo looking back at the camera, it's like "can you believe it". :)
    Enjoy the weekend, Grace!

  10. I remember those terrific sculptures. That is a clever idea for the dolphin. I remember seeing cars painted like that and they changed colour as they passed by. I believe it is a very expensive painting technique.
