Colours in the air, colours everywhere, like a rainbow..

On our way home from Fremantle last week we stopped in at Claremont to take a few shots of this vibrant piece by Australian artist Ian Mutch on the wall of The Pizza Lounge.. check out more of his work here. Drawing inspiration 'from his upbringing surrounded by wild landscapes, animals and patterns' I'm happy to say that he has chosen to settle here in the south-west of WA. I will be on the look-out for more of his work to show you here. Hope you had/are still having a good weekend. The weather in the Northern Hemisphere has been described as 'pockets of cold in a warming world' and yet there are still some who deny climate change.. incroyable! Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

  6. That is a wonderful mural. Great painting with all that color. Building owners must be proud to have it on their wall.

  9. This mural is pretty spectacular! I actually heard a report that Sydney experienced some record highs this last weekend. It really is astounding that there are still people who deny what is so obvious to almost all of us.

  13. That seems to jump off the wall. Wall art is done on a much higher level in Australia than here. And yes, I'd say we are in a pocket of cold.

  14. Another gorgeous mural. Really, Grace, you've found some beautiful works and this is no exception. (I wrote about climate change in an educational newsletter in the 1990s. Everything predicted then has begun to be commonplace. And yet in the U.S. *rump has pulled out of the Paris agreement. It defies understanding.)

  19. I picked up the January issue of the National Geographic in my physical therapist's office last Friday. The magazine has declared 2018 "The Year of the Bird" (naughty, naughty--not THAT bird!) and the issue is full of outstanding photos. Although we now have too many magazine subscriptions and that I have vowed not to subscribe to more, I am going to buy one this year because of my interest in the topic and the remarkable images that they usually publish. I am looking forward to the magazine's 2018 issues. When I first opened the magazine, I thought immediately of you because of the outstanding bird photos you often post. Thanks again for this one!!
