Tall things in the city..

Just as I was getting to quite like Elizabeth Quay future building is steaming ahead in earnest! I think I've been in a state of hopeful denial :) but there's no denying the mob of mega cranes in action here beavering away to get this fini by 2019. I have to admit I'm struggling a little :) but for a change will reserve judgement. The poor old Bell Tower, I'm not sure what's going to happen to the fab views from up there, I bet no one has thought that one through :) Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe...

  3. Ritz-Carlton is building a new hotel and condos here too! That makes me wonder if they have more projects going on around the world. I see you have those beautiful blue skies back again.

  5. You start to feel like you won't be able to see the sky anymore through all the tall buildings!

  7. I hope the authorities know what they are doing. A great and very popular space was created and is in danger of being spoilt.

  8. Ugh! No stopping progress...but, you don't have to like it. : ) Hopefully the final product will look better than the rendering.

  10. Very beautiful and unique buildings. I hope someone though ahead enough to preserve the bell tower.

  11. They certainly are mega cranes. Quite intimidating. Yes, I am slowly getting back into the blogging world after many intrusive variables seemed to thwart my personal routines.

  13. I agree with you on the Bell tower, I think it will be dwarfed by all the big buildings around it which is a pity. I wish the quay area was left as it was!

  17. Progress they call it, but sometimes it can feel like we're stepping back. Love to the old Bell Tower you will forever rock, no matter what.

  19. They never stop, do they? I think if you are happy with half of the new stuff, that is probably good enough.
