Botanical bend...

With an hour to spare before heading out to the airport yesterday we stopped in at Kings Park.. I wanted to try again to get some shots of the new sculpture leading into the Botanical Gardens. The last time I tried the overcast weather didn't do it full justice.. I'm not altogether sure the midday sun has done any better :) In reality it is fantastic, with touches here and there of inlaid multi-coloured glass, below. I can't swear to it but I think artists Anne Neil and Steve Tepper are the creators of this botanical archway.

A tour group below heading into the fabulousness that is the botanical gardens of Kings Park, the  gardeners do a brilliant job of displaying and tending plants from all over the world.. come on now, wouldn't you like to join that group :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...

  9. That is so unusual and so creative and so striking! I think it would only be possible to do things like that botanically. I tried it anatomically and haven't been able to get up for an hour! Nah, just kidding. Nice shooting, Grace!

  12. Beautiful place.
If you want your perfect photos you'll need to do like Ansel Adams; visit the place often and spend hours watching at different times of the day waiting for the perfect lighting.
