CDP Theme Abandoned.. with a happy ending!

These little beauties were abandoned in my garden two years ago when they were just kittens (below) and although I've tried hard to domesticate them they still prefer the outdoor life. It works well enough, they appear morning and evening for breakfast and dinner and are delightful companions when I'm working in the garden. Whenever we're away in Sydney, family volunteers come in twice daily to feed them and their outdoor sleeping arrangements are luxurious believe me! Being Aussie abandoned cats they refuse to answer to Gaston et Remy, go figure :) but will come if I call 'Socksy' (white bib and paws) and 'Little One', because he is! Bon weekend, take care and stay safe...p.s. the above shot taken yesterday morning, look how their colour has changed over the two years, still stunning though!

  1. They look just like my Kitty who was found crying along the side of the road in a factory district. We had him for 15 years and he was a real sweetheart. These guys were lucky to have found you!

  2. Oh, this is so sweet, do they never come in? Nice they still stay together. Their bodypaint looks a bit like our Sofietje but she is a British shorthair lady. Yours we call here different, I don't know the name in english, a cyper cat. You did a good job to welcome them and gave them an (outdoor) home.

  4. What a fine couple of sweeties. Our two are litter mates - we got them from a local vet. They have come along from wee scaredy cats to loving, warm, furry friends!

  6. Smart cats--they're choosing their own names! They remind me of cats we had years ago--Fat Cat and Fat Cat Jr. They were father and son. Junior's mom was a real whack-a-doodle!

When we set up our Nativity display in the front yard at Christmas. Junior would always kick Baby Jesus out of the manger and get in there himself. My mother tried to explain to him that he was not going to get into Heaven that way....

  11. Aaw! You and your family members have hearts for animals and such a generous way to take care of "strays," but these are really no longer strays, are they? Hope they are spayed or neutered!

  12. They are adorable as kittens and beautiful adults. I think you gain as much as they do from this living arrangement.

  14. Kočky jsou vždy krásné. Miluji tato zvířata. Jsou to osobnosti, mají svůj rozum. To mně na kočkách imponuje.

  15. Their colouring has changed but they still look pretty. Even though my cats were born just outside one our windows and brought inside when tiny, one of them is still a bit feral, and usually they are scared of strangers, so when I have people over they just disappear behind some curtain!

  23. Cats are clever like that. I have had several cats that just showed up at the door one day, informing me that they now live here and where is the food?
