That's spring weather for you!

In the city yesterday the weather could not have been more different from the previous day. These two shots taken from the walkway crossing back over to the city from the Cultural Centre, looking up and down Wellington Street (you can see the walkway on link). Can you tell which side was glassed in and which was open :) Even though it looks cold it was actually 21C..

It's the last week of the school holidays and it's good to see so many activities for youngsters in the city.. this is the scene before heading over to the cultural centre...

Thank goodness for that big tent :)

I love the way the slate paving in Forrest Place looks after the rain. It's possible you may see more rainy day shots tomorrow.. I have to make the most of it, summer's on the way :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe...

  1. It does look like it was wet and disagreeable.

  2. Awww, Grace, I really hope for some unlikely rainy days come Dec/Jan.
13C, occasional light rain here and I did 19,5km on foot :-)

  3. Rain can be annoying at times but at least it was warm. :)

  4. At least you are getting some rain! It is still warm and sunny here! 22˚C!

  5. Even in the wet, these street scenes are so colourful. Wonderful reflections in the last two photos.

  9. Here we have a saying: 'after rain, sunshine follows'. Things can only get better! :))

  10. Sunny and dry here, how about sending some rain my way!

  11. I always think it's a little funny to visit a water fountain in the middle of a rain storm. Sort of like people who water their yard even when it rains. :-)

  13. I love rainy shots! Keep 'em coming. I especially like that first one! Like a painting where the paint dripped down across the picture!

  16. I have an image (quite possibly incorrect) of Perth as semi-arid, sort of like Los Angeles. It's nice to see everything get washed.

  17. Nice rain photos. I tend to put my camera away on rainy days. I should follow your lead and give it a go. The hurricane might be up in Connecticut by the weekend.

  18. Send some rain our way, its so dry here. I like the shot of the rain through the glass, gives it a nice textured look.

  20. Well rain is good for nature but not for people I think. I hate it to get wet and stay inside as I don't have to go to work anymore :)

  21. I guess the best part is knowing it is not long to summer. We have the rain here now too but for us the days are getting shorter fast and I've now turned the heating on.

  24. I too, like the look of the wet slate paving. What is the sculpture in the bottom photo?

That first photo is definitely my favourite - I love it!

    All the best Jan
