Brookfield Bunnies.. silent sentinels!

Yesterday the Cultural Centre today Brookfield Place!  Although spotted all over town during Fringe World this is home base for the Stormie Mills Brookfield Bunnies.. I can't help wondering how long it took before the 3m tall pink bunny became invisible to the office workers in the surrounding sky-rise glass towers :) I think they're fun, might be nice if one stayed around after the festival, just to pop up and surprise us now and then! Going into the city today to see the first part of a three day giant story (sneak peak), tres exciting! Have a good Friday, take care and stay safe..

  1. I like how the bunny contrasts so well with the background in that shot.

Imagine seeing one of these things unexpectedly late at night though.

  3. It's interesting that Brookfield Place here is always involved in big events that take place and usually has great art installations too. The company must have an art heart!
We are heading into the deep freeze here starting now - it is already -14˚C and it is only 1 pm!

  10. Those bunnies are really nice. I just can't stop thinking of the Energizer bunny though everytime I see them. Goes to show they had a great advertising campaign.

  12. Are they portable? Could you, say, put one outside the mayor's door?

  14. I quite like these tall fellows. Jeff Koons' Puppy seems a similar vein

  15. Hard to imaging them becoming invisible Grace but you are right. The people who pass them every day eventually take no notice. People to greet and appointments to keep.

  19. Your pink bunny brings to mind the big blue bear in Denver. Cute!

  20. Vibrant as they undoubtedly are Grace, is it just me who finds them a wee bit sinister and creepy without a face? I liked your reflection shots - not easy to portray.

  23. Those bunnies are so cute and they would be fun to have hanging around a little longer than usual. But, now I'm wondering how are they stored the rest of the year. They are quite large, she would need a very large storage facility.

  24. The pink bunny certainly has a presence in the alternative city colours. And he's faceless. That is a little unsettling.
