Summer sizzler..

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent

I have a feeling that Mr. Dent may not have been referring to an Australian summer with his words above :) Although we could be lucky, as we were yesterday, the sea breeze came in early and saved us from a 37C scorcher.. with a forecast of 40C for today, we can only hope! As for the luscious, sizzling hibiscus, the hotter the better! Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe...

  16. Your summers sound a lot like ours. No biggie, though, we just stay in where the a/c is working!

Hibiscus here live through some pretty cold winters (temps in the low 30s (F) or worse.

  17. Very nice flower Grace. We have several of those in our front yard garden only they are not in bloom at this time. I really trimmed them back about a month ago so they won't be in bloom for a while. Nice spring like weather here lately. Clear sunny sky and day time high temmperatures in the 70sF or 20sC.

  19. I have an almost identical coloured one (small) sitting here in my study Grace. Hibiscus are such showy, exotic plants. Stay cool!

  20. The colour bursts from your hibiscus. So lovely. As for summer sizzler, I can only gaze in awe as we, on my peninsula, scraped in a 21 degrees today. But we have been promised some summer this week - on workdays.
